Argyll and Bute tops the list of best holiday view in the UK
The UK has undoubtedly some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. From the pristine coastlines of the Cornish coast, to the rugged wilderness of the Scottish Highlands, no matter what your preference is for a holiday, Britain has you covered.
We recently surveyed our customers on what is the most important factor when deciding where to go on holiday, and unsurprisingly the ‘view/scenery’ came out on top, with 43% of people identifying it as the biggest influence.
With this in mind, we wanted to delve deeper into the UK’s ‘views’, and find out where exactly is deemed the best in the country.
So, we worked with our travel industry experts to collate an extensive list of areas, and surveyed 4,000 members of the public to find out which they deemed ‘the best’.
The results were insightful, but not exactly surprising! Argyll and Bute in the Scottish Highlands came out on top, and is renowned for being a top tourist destination, offering a tranquil setting to escape the chaos of daily life. It has seven national nature reserves, and 23 inhibited islands that are home to an array of wildlife. It’s the ideal holiday spot for those who want to have their breath taken away everytime they walk out of the door!
