Mrs Delaney's Loft in Clonmel, County Tipperary, is a charming and peaceful retreat, praised for its comfortable accommodations and serene rural setting. Guests have enjoyed the friendly animals, the helpfulness of the caretaker, and the property's proximity to local attractions. While some minor maintenance issues were noted, the overall experience is one of a cosy, welcoming stay, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'immaculately clean'. However, a few guests mentioned cobwebs and a gap above the bed that could lead to draughts, slightly lowering the score.

The location is highly regarded for its tranquillity and proximity to nature, with mentions of nearby attractions and wildlife. The rural setting offers peace and quiet, with easy access to local villages and outdoor activities.

Guests find the loft comfortable, noting the cosy bed and the presence of heaters. Some guests found the furniture a bit too soft for their liking, and the noise from the water boiler was a discomfort for one guest.

The facilities are appreciated for their homeliness and adequacy, with a well-equipped kitchen and new shower installation. However, issues with hot water supply and maintenance, such as the placement of the water boiler, affect the score.

While the reviews reflect a thoughtful and welcoming environment, with mentions of the caretaker's helpfulness and the owner's friendliness, there are no specific references to gifts or special amenities that would guarantee a score in this category.

The shower was lovely, but there was no hot water supply to the bathroom sink, and this might be a problem to some, though it did not bother us unduly. Nice views of horses in fields and of some of the Knockmealdown mountains, which were close so The Loft was convenient to us for hill walking.

Staying in the depths of winter isn't the ideal time to appreciate the beautiful surroundings but the loft was comfortable and generally easy to stay warm. I slept so soundly there. The bed was comfortable and the area was quiet. The oven/cooker is old but functional and the kitchen had everything else I needed. As I read on previous posts, the loft was a bit cobwebby and there is a gap into the attic just above the bed which is a little disconcerting and also provided a little bit of a draught. That is my only negative feedback though and I very much enjoyed my stay at Mrs Delaney's loft.
