Snaptrip says

Snowdrop Cottage in Windermere receives high praise for its cleanliness, prime location, and overall comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and the property's proximity to local attractions. While parking can be challenging during peak times, the cottage's charm and amenities contribute to a delightful stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently mention the immaculate condition of the cottage, highlighting its cleanliness as a standout feature. One isolated comment about dust under the sofa and chair does not significantly detract from the overall high standards observed.

The cottage's location is frequently praised for being within walking distance to Bowness and Windermere, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and the lake. Parking difficulties during peak times are noted, but the convenience and quiet setting are well-regarded.

Comfort is highly rated, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy. Some guests mention a preference for different sofas and the small bathroom, but these are personal preferences and do not significantly impact the overall comfort experienced by most.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and good central heating. Some guests suggest improvements such as sharper knives and better shower pressure. The mention of a faulty fridge and lack of bath mat indicate minor maintenance issues.

While guests express appreciation for the overall experience, there is insufficient information regarding specific thoughtful gestures or gifts provided by the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be accurately assigned to this category.

5mbs at best during our stay. No good if like our stay it’s raining and you want to stream a movie. Other than that the cottage is perfect and the well equipped kitchen was perfect for our needs. Clean and comfortable with excellent central heating.

Fridge faulty. No mat in slippery bath. Shower like a dripping tap.

Everything is provided and you could easily cook a meal in the kitchen - there is a proper size cooker, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and half size dishwasher. There is enough cutlery, plates, saucepans, glasses mugs etc.The property is warm and cosy and if needed there is a gas fire in the lounge area - there are also real fireplaces which I assume you can use in the winter. It is a small garden but there is a table and chairs to be able to sit outside. On the corner of the road there is a green space if you have a child who wants to run around. The WiFi is good enough for browsing, kids tablets and using apps like Netflix, Disney plus, Amazon video on the smart tv provided. The location is perfect - it is in Bowness which is a lovely town. The property is within easy walking distance (5 minutes walk) to lots of restaurants, bars, shops, the Beatrix Potter exhibition, small cinema and the jetty on Lake Windermere where you can get the boats to Ambleside etc. a little further past the jetty is the car jetty to take you across to where Beatrix Potter’s house is. By car it is easy to get to other main towns and tourist spots of the Lake District. The only downsides are the bathroom is quite small and the shower hasn’t got great pressure but is certainly useable - but that could be due to us having power showers at home so use to very powerful showers, whereas the shower in the property is an electric one. However it is hot water on demand which was good and the towels provided are lovely and fluffy. The other issue is parking - it is on road parking. The road isn’t permit only so people park their cars there and walk into town as there isn’t a lot of parking in the town. We were there over the Easter weekend and ended up using one of the businesses parking space on their drive (obviously after contacting them and residents of the road) as there was no space on the road. After the bank holiday it became a lot easier to park on the road and we didn’t then have an issue but I’m not sure what it would be like to park in the summer holidays. However on speaking to a neighbour they are trying to get permit parking for the road which will probably make it a lot easier to park as there is certainly enough parking spaces for the number of houses.
