Fair Rigg Old Farm is highly praised for its warmth, comfort, and beautiful gardens, making it a favourite for many. The AGA cooker and well-equipped kitchen are highlights, contributing to the property's homely feel. The secure garden is a hit with dog owners, and the location offers great local walks. While there are some mentions of a fly issue in one room and minor maintenance points, guests generally love the character and charm of the cottage, with many planning to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is generally described as clean and tidy upon arrival. However, there are a few mentions of a fly problem in the main bedroom and some kitchen drawers not being as clean as expected, slightly affecting the score.

The location is appreciated for its central area for touring and great local walks. Some guests mention traffic noise and the property not being as isolated as expected, which slightly impacts the score.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The presence of an AGA cooker adds to the homely feel, although some guests note the house can become overly warm. The beds are described as very comfortable.

The cottage is well-furnished and equipped, particularly the kitchen, which is a social hub due to the AGA. The garden is secure and well-maintained. Some guests note a lack of sharp knives and a small lounge area for larger groups, but overall the facilities are highly regarded.

Many guests mention a welcome pack, which adds a thoughtful touch to their stay. It is important to note that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every visit.

A little rose noise from the A590 is the only slight detractor.

The cottage was beautiful, clean and felt homely. The grounds were lovely and the dogs loved exploring them. Really helpful staff and a nice little welcome gift. Would highly recommend!
