Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the cottage clean and well-kept, while others noted areas needing improvement, such as dusty window frames and stained carpets. The overall impression suggests that cleanliness is satisfactory but with room for enhancement.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its peacefulness, convenience for parking, and ease of access to local attractions and amenities. The proximity to a good pub and the National Trust's Oxburgh Hall is frequently mentioned as a positive aspect.

Comfort is a strong point for this property, with numerous guests commenting on the comfortable beds and cosy living space. However, some issues with heating and hot water have been mentioned, slightly affecting the overall comfort score.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and utility area. However, guests have reported minor maintenance issues such as problematic blinds, dated appliances, and the need for a deep clean and redecoration in some areas.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in several reviews, with mentions of a generous welcome pack and fresh flowers. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, they are a delightful bonus rather than a standard provision.

We had a lovely time there. The ceiling from the toilet to the bathroom is low en we had some problems with that. The weather was great, so we had a lovely time in Oxbourough en the rest of Norfolk. And now in Dutch. Mooie locatie, goed gelegen tov National Trust landgoederen en de noordzee. Huisje prima en was er lekker rustig om bij te komen.

The new heaters are a definite improvement although it could still be a little warmer. Some coat hooks downstairs would be a welcome addition. Another pleasant few days at no 28.

    b) The blind in the living area by the road window does not go up further than half way. c) There were (what we believe to be) chocolate marks on the throw on the sofa nearest the window (we turned the throw over so they could not be seen). d) I know other users have noted this but the grass by the back door (in my opinion) would make an ideal parking space for one small/medium car.....just a thought - instead of parking the car by the telephone box which was by the way very muddy.
