A luxurious accessible larch pod set within the old stables on the owner’s farm, in the delightful village of East Rudham in Norfolk. Able Stables is on one level and has been carefully created to incorporate the assisted living requirements of the independent wheelchair user.

This is a fabulous property which presents a unique accessible holiday for guests with a variety of interests and needs. Ideal for birdwatchers, cyclists, walkers, beach lovers, culture vultures... you'll never be bored in this area of Norfolk. With automated doors and level surfaces, within the larch pod there is a full wet room with grab rails, spacious kitchen and dining area with wall mounted televisions in both the bedroom and kitchen. The cosy bedroom is set up as a super-king size bed, however this can be made up as two singles on request. A truly amazing outside/inside sitting room with ample comfortable seating and dining area, unique furniture, wood burning stove and overhead heating adds to the charm and individuality of this destination.

The Able Stables is run as a social enterprise. The funds raised from paying guests go towards offering subsidised breaks to clients that would normally not be able to pay to get away. With these subsidised breaks there is an emphasis on disability of all kinds but the property would suit anyone that wanted a great place to get away in a unique, reassuring and safe space.

The Able Stables offers an ideal bolthole free from the stresses of everyday life for anyone wishing to enjoy a secluded holiday in the Norfolk countryside, birdwatchers, walkers, cyclists, beach lovers... Situated within its own private walled courtyard, and available throughout the year, it's a popular find for returning guests.

Fully accessible with a level floor, wheelchair user height WC, wash basin, walk/roll in shower with rainfall shower head, hand-held shower and hand rail (please advise if you require a shower chair).

Bedroom

With a super-king size bed (can be made up as twin singles on request), chest of drawers, wall mounted television, hanging space for clothes and dressing gowns.

Sitting room

With a dining table and four chairs, a wheelchair, comfortable chairs, bench, a wood burning stove, (initial supply of logs provided, further logs can be purchased from the owner) and wall mounted heaters.

With a washing machine, dresser, low level wash basin, fridge, dining table and two chairs. Separate dining room in the barn.

Decking all around the property all level for wheelchair use.
