Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is repeatedly described as spotless and immaculately clean, indicating a high standard of cleanliness. One review mentions a cleanliness issue in the bathroom, but this appears to be an isolated incident.

The location is frequently highlighted as fantastic, with easy access to coastal walks and nearby attractions. The farm setting adds to the appeal, although no specific negative comments about the location are provided.

Many reviews note the property as comfortable and well-furnished, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. However, there is a single review that mentions uncomfortable beds and pillows, suggesting room for improvement.

Facilities are generally praised for being well-equipped and maintained, with special mentions of a welcome basket and the presence of farm animals. There is a suggestion for conservatory blinds due to heat, but overall, the facilities meet guests' needs.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as welcome baskets and the hosts' willingness to provide local information. While these gestures are well-received, it is politely noted that such extras are subject to change and not guaranteed.

About this property

Foulsyke Farm Bungalow is a two-bedroom bungalow in Loftus, North Yorkshire and is idyllic for a family or group of friends to get away from it all. The house is decorated with a contemporary touch, and has all the features you would expect, and enjoys views of the rolling hills. Park up on the private driveway before entering your holiday home into the spacious, white-glossy kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with all the appliances you need to make your favourite meals, from an electric oven, a hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Enjoy mealtimes in the conservatory, home to a dining table for four, to soak up the natural light and in the evening, gather in the sitting room to unwind, and maybe even enjoy a toast to your getaway. Afterwards, move over to the sofa and admire the greenery through the large windows as the Smart TV plays a family favourite. Make the most of the summer months in the large, wraparound garden; here you can relax with a glass of wine and watch the sunset. As day draws to night, venture inside, where on the ground-floor there are two bedrooms, with a king-size and a twin, both with Smart TVs. Awaken tired eyes with a soothing soak in the fully tiled bathroom or opt for a rinse in the shower. A public footpath runs beside the farm, leading to The Cleveland Way, which is less than a mile away. The farm walk meets the Cleveland Way at the top of some of the highest cliffs on the east coast, offering views to the north towards Saltburn and south towards Staithes.

However, before reaching the cliffs, you will walk past Street House Farm, where archaeologists uncovered a 3300BC Neolithic long cairn. The Saxon Princess bed burial is one of only a dozen known in the UK, and likely the most northern, as the majority are on the south coast. Spectacular artefacts, including gold set scallop shaped gemstones, were discovered buried with the princess and are now on permanent exhibit at the neighbouring Kirkleatham Museum. There are 22 acres to explore with goats, pigs, chickens, and horses, as well as plenty of outdoor room for kids to run about in. The village of Loftus is home to the Land of Iron at Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum; there are also several cafes and restaurants to fuel your day. This lovely property is ideally located within a charming village with an independent book shop, cafés, bakeries and a gin bar which is popular with tourists and locals alike. Be sure to stop at the local farm shop for some homemade cakes and pies, or dine out at The Tiger Inn, a popular choice with excellent reviews. Enjoy a trip to the seaside with a choice of beautiful beaches in the area including Staithes, Runswick Bay and Port Mulgrave, which is known for its fossil hunting and also has a large fossil at the National History museum. Also within easy reach is the North York Moors and Coast National Park which can take you to the Esk Valley for Goathland, affectionately known as Heartbeat country. Why not travel over the moors and into the picture-perfect market towns of Helmsley, Pickering, and Malton for a day of shopping, or for the thrill-seekers, make your way to to Yorkshire's ultimate theme park, Flamingo Land, which is just 30 miles away and home to an award-winning zoo, perfect for animal lovers too! Foulsyke Farm Bungalow is a stylish abode, perfect for your next staycation. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1021276, together sleeping up to 10 guests.
