Enjoy a luxurious soak in the hot tub after a long day exploring the region or wake up to a refreshing shower in the en-suite. One of the double rooms boasts views of open green fields and patio doors out to the enclosed garden. Beckermet is located just one mile from the West Coast and sits amongst Lakeland countryside. Relatively unknown to many Lakeland visitors, this area offers easy access to the towering peaks of Scafell Pike - England's highest peak, as well as Scarfell, Great Gable, Hard Knott, Harter Fell and Muncaster Fell. Other local attractions include Muncaster Castle with its World Hawk and Owl Centre; the Ravenglass to Eskdale miniature railway, the famous Hardknot Pass with its Roman Fort, and the Georgian town of Whitehaven with its picturesque harbour.

The cottage had everything we needed. Having a hot tub was also ideal after a day walking on the fells. Itâs ideal for walking in Wasdale as itâs only 25 minutes away. The welcome pack of Prosecco and biscuits was lovely and even more so when we had scones and cake delivered which was a nice surprise. The view from the lounge which was upstairs was a nice addition.

The owners are a stones throw away, without being intrusive, and they are the nicest people you could wish to meet. The village is great, with pub and great food, sky sports a bonus, all the locals very friendly. All in all a definite book again from us. Stephen and Angela

The owners were lovely and it was a lovely surprise when they sent warm scones with jam and cream which was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and look forward to booking again
