It is well equipped, clean and very comfortable and if your after a quiet, relaxing holiday with plenty of walking this is the place for you. I would highly recommend Byre cottage.

It is located in a very picturesque village, a real "get away from it all" place, yet still close to the lake district and north Pennines. The cottage is beautifully furnished and comfortable with everything we needed. Ingrid, the owner, met us on arrival and was very welcoming. The owners live next door, so on hand if needed, but not in any way intrusive. Looking at the guest book, people return time after time. I can understand why. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily visit again in the future.
