Snaptrip says

Guests generally appreciate the cottage's charm, finding it well-equipped and comfortable, with a homely feel. Its proximity to the pub and local attractions like Carsington Water is frequently praised. The location is ideal for walks and exploring the Peak District. Some guests mention minor maintenance issues and cleaning oversights, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage is often described as clean and well-kept, with several guests noting its spotless condition. However, a few reviews mention cleaning oversights, such as cobwebs and a dirty oven, suggesting room for improvement in this area.

The location is highly praised for its tranquility, proximity to Carsington Water, and the convenience of having a pub next door. The village setting and nearby walks contribute to the positive feedback, making it an excellent base for exploring the area.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, with a welcoming atmosphere. Some guests suggest improvements to the furniture and mention that the twin room is quite small, but overall, the comfort level is high.

The cottage is well-equipped with a good kitchen, Wi-Fi, and a secure garden. However, guests have reported maintenance issues like a problematic front door handle, creaky doors, and a few non-working appliances. These points indicate that while facilities are generally good, there is a need for better upkeep.

While guests have not explicitly mentioned gifts, they appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and the provision of essentials. The lack of specific references to gifts or extra thoughtful touches means we cannot provide a score in this category.
