Snaptrip says

Goodalls cottage receives high praise for its beautiful location, cosy atmosphere, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as tea and coffee on arrival, and the property's charm and character. The garden is a highlight, with wildlife sightings adding to the experience. Some concerns over cleanliness and maintenance are noted, but overall, guests report a delightful stay with many recommending the property.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found Goodalls to be clean and well-presented, though there were a few mentions of cleanliness issues such as unwashed pots and cutlery. These seem to be isolated incidents rather than a general trend.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and convenience, with guests appreciating the proximity to local attractions and the peaceful, rural setting. The central location on the Isle of Wight makes it easy to explore the island.

Guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, with spacious bedrooms and a warm conservatory. However, some guests mentioned that the beds were too soft and creaky, which slightly impacted the comfort score.

The cottage is well-equipped with a modern kitchen, ample parking, and a secure garden. Some guests suggested improvements such as a more reliable Wi-Fi connection and the addition of a washer/dryer. The presence of a pond and steps may not suit all guests.

While guests frequently mention appreciating the thoughtful extras, such as tea and coffee, and the helpful communication from the owners, there is no consistent mention of gifts. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such extras will always be provided.

The kitchen was well, equipped and the bedrooms were comfortable. The conservatory was a great place for meals, looking at the garden and listening to birdsong. Also a great place to play hide and seek with the kids. Goodalls is in an excellent location, not far from a beach and within a 25 minute drive of anywhere on the island. The recommended pubs also did not disappoint.

It is a beautiful cottage. Exceptionally clean, very well equipped with everything you could need, comfortable beds, in a gorgeous setting. So much beauty in the area. The owners had thought of everything. A very special place and we would love to return one day. 10/10.

It’s a lovely cosy cottage, quiet setting and not far from amenities. To let people know there are steps to get into the downstairs rooms. This isn’t ideal for people that have mobility issues. The garden is secure and has a lot of seating in the nooks and crannies. However, to get down to the garden there were about 5-6 slightly steep steps. Also, It wasn’t mentioned that there is an unsecured pond at ground level and opposite the steps, this could be a hazard for young children and small pets. seeing and listening to the birds from the conservatory was lovely, but the garden could do with a good mow. It was lovely sitting in the living room, it was so warm and cosy. Bathrooms were lovely and bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Would recommend this cottage to people, but without mobility issues as it’s in a perfect setting, quiet and peaceful.
