Snaptrip says

Swallow Cottage is generally praised for its cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. It serves as a great base for exploring Kent, with a convenient location and a quiet setting. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like welcome packs, although some mention minor maintenance issues. The property is dog-friendly, with some restrictions.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests find the cottage to be spotlessly clean and well-presented, contributing to a comfortable stay. A few isolated comments mention minor cleanliness issues, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.

The cottage is appreciated for its quiet location and proximity to local attractions and amenities. Some guests find the distance to Herne Bay and the beach greater than expected, but the location is still considered good for exploring Kent.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, especially noting the comfortable beds. However, some guests mention that the sofa and seating arrangements could be improved for greater comfort, and a few maintenance issues are noted.

The cottage is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, and guests are pleased with the facilities provided. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a broken basin plug, a lifted laminate floor, and a non-stop bathroom fan, which suggest room for improvement in this area.

While guests mention welcome packs including milk, biscuits, and tea, there is not enough consistent information about the provision of gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such thoughtful gestures are appreciated but may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Well equipped kitchen with welcome milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, also cleaning products provided. Comfortable living space but not suitable for more than 2 adults fine with children as only one small sofa, could benefit from curtain installed as door has been removed to living space and sometimes chilly and not cosy. Bedroom lovely, linen and towels good and a treat to have tv in rooms. Only downside for us was outside space no privacy as right on top of neighbours (who were lovely) felt too overlooked and no fresh plants or nice paving just ash felt and slate stones out front. Overall we would come agian great base for visiting Kent and value for money.

The cottage was clean with everything working and lots of little extra touches eg: tea, coffee, antibac wipes, kitchen foil, washing up liquid. Kitchen was super well equipped but didn’t really use it (on holiday so ate out)! It was the perfect place to stay for us, two friends and two dogs, great base and even made the most of the bus as it was so local and convenient. We were delighted with our stay, when I needed to contact the owner regarding the heating he called me straight away and it got sorted (aware it was operator error). Have only positive praise for the cottage, location and owners. Thank you…..will be booking this one again.

But not actually in Herne Bay as suggested in listing but in Herne common.. No leaflets or information at all about the local area or facilities that could be visited or accessed. No instructions about how to work cooker or central heating etc. Theses would have been useful. The removal of door to lounge made house feel quite chilly.
