Snaptrip says

Guests are generally pleased with Helford Cottage, praising its comfortable accommodation, stunning views, and welcoming hosts. The property's location is ideal for exploring Cornwall, with easy access to local attractions and amenities. Families appreciate the child-friendly features and the presence of animals on-site. Some guests mention receiving welcome gifts, adding a personal touch to their stay. While most reviews are positive, a few note minor maintenance issues and cleanliness oversights.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the property to be spotlessly clean and comfortable. However, a few mentioned areas that could benefit from deeper cleaning or attention to detail, such as kitchen crumbs and bathroom cleanliness. These appear to be isolated incidents rather than a general trend.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views, proximity to seaside villages, Falmouth, and other Cornish attractions. The serene setting near a lake and the presence of local wildlife add to the charm of the property's location.

Guests consistently mention the comfort of the beds and the spaciousness of the living areas. The property is described as warm and accommodating, though some guests noted that the layout may not be ideal for very young toddlers due to the stairs.

The range of facilities, including a hot tub, tennis court, and games, is a highlight for many guests. However, some reviews point out that certain amenities require maintenance, and there were comments about the additional cost for hot tub use and the bar area being cold.

While several guests mention receiving welcome gifts such as bread, butter, and eggs, it is important to note that such gestures, though appreciated, are not guaranteed and may vary with each stay.

Helford is a very attractive, clean, warm and comfortable cottage and our family of 5 (4 adults) had plenty of space. Very comfortable beds and plenty of towels. Owner apologised on our arrival that the dishwasher had broken the previous week. A surprising lack of glasses - just 3 tumblers which meant we had to use the wine glasses for water / soft drinks! An easy fix that would make a difference. Would recommend Helford for families and adult groups and we would definitely consider returning in the future.

There were 8 of us stopping and there was plenty of room for us all. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful and the younger people in our family really enjoyed the added bonus of the pub. It was such a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the views which im sure would of been even nicer had it not of rained so much. There was a lovely walk across the owners field to the lake which even on a cold miserable day was still beautiful The only small thing we would of liked a few more glasses in the property, I'm presuming that over time other guests have broken them and they have not been replaced and we only had one key which wasn't a massive issue because we just left the key in the bar, but had there been other quests staying I'm not sure I would of wanted to do that.
