Snaptrip says

Dunes View is a well-regarded cottage in Cornwall, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches such as a cream tea on arrival. The property offers a quiet location with easy access to local beaches and amenities. While some minor maintenance issues were noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests planning to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the property to be very clean and well-presented. However, a few guests mentioned issues with mould and worn towels, which slightly affects the overall cleanliness score.

The location is appreciated for its quietness and proximity to beaches and local shops. Some guests mentioned the distance to the beach as a downside, but the village's charm and accessibility to nearby attractions are well-liked.

Guests consistently report that the bungalow is comfortable, with comfy beds and a cosy lounge. Suggestions for improvements include additional cushions for outdoor seating and minor updates to the shower facilities.

Facilities are generally good, with a secure garden for dogs and adequate parking. Some guests suggested the need for better kitchen equipment and outdoor lighting. Maintenance issues like the shower's water pressure and the absence of a bread knife were also noted.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful gestures such as cream teas, Easter eggs, and dog treats. While these gifts are highly appreciated, they are a personal touch from the owners and may not be a consistent offering for every stay.

About this property

Tucked away in the quaint Cornish village of Cubert near the iconic coastal town of Newquay is Dune View. This delightful, dog-friendly, semi-detached bungalow benefits from an enclosed, rear garden, off-road parking for two cars, a fantastic location near the beach and two beautifully presented bedrooms, perfect for couples, friends or a small family looking to explore the coast with their beloved canine companion. Make your way inside to unwind in the sitting room where you can warm up in front of the gentle warmth of the electric fire while you browse the selection of films on the Smart TV. Later, head into the conservatory/dining room where you can tuck into the culinary creation that was prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen, or if the sun is shining, step outside to delight in an alfresco affair upon the patio or simply enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple as the sun sets over Cubert. When the sky darkens, wash off the day in the sleek shower room before sloping off to sleep in either the super-king-size (zip/link) or double bedroom. If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic bolthole, spend sunny days upon the golden shores of Holywell Bay where your dog can roam freely while you admire the breath-taking views across the Atlantic and the kids splash around in the sea. Alternatively, spend a full day exploring the myriad of attractions in Newquay; amble through Blue Reef Aquarium to marvel at the sea life on display or traverse the famous Newquay Zoo before whiling away the rest of the day on the shores of one of the town’s many beaches. Thrill seekers or those looking for a little adventure will be in their element as you can rent kayaks and paddle boards to explore the open water or try cliff jumping with trained professionals and even coasteering! The South West coastal path also runs through the area and spans an impressive 630 miles providing endless opportunities to explore charming coastal towns and the attractions within. Make unforgettable memories at Dune View.

This picturesque settlement may be found inland, far from the hustle and bustle of the north Cornwall coast. Some of Cornwall's most spectacular sights are within easy driving distance. Cubert is located on the coast between the stunning surfing paradise of Newquay and the picture-perfect seaside city of Perranporth; both are fantastic day-trip options thanks to the variety of attractions and activities available in each, as well as their unique personalities. We rate Dunes View very highly. Quiet location, good layout and everything which you need for a good holiday is provided. Very often a good parking space is a struggle in North Cornwall but not here, there is enough space on the drive for at least three vehicles. We would certainly rent again.

What more can you ask. We are booked to return next year. What higher praise can there be?

Cubert is a proper village rather than a tourist trap. The bungalow is very clean with up to date furnishings and had everything we needed. The bed linen is of hotel quality and there were plenty of towels, including dog towels! The garden is small, as expected and could do with a bit of maintenance, my hands were itching to do it! I would definitely stay again.
