Rock Lobster is a well-loved cottage in Port Isaac, praised for its stunning sea views and convenient location for coastal walks and local amenities. Guests appreciate the home comforts and thoughtful touches, though some cleanliness and maintenance issues have been noted.
Cleanliness has been a concern for some guests, with reports of dirty carpets, a dishwasher full of dirty crockery, and mould in showers. However, not all reviews mention cleanliness issues, suggesting experiences may vary.
The location is highly praised for its amazing views, proximity to Port Isaac, and ease of access to coastal walks, making it a standout feature of the property.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, with the property described as beautiful and comfortable. However, there are comments about a soft bed and the need for better mattress protectors, indicating room for improvement.
Facilities are appreciated, but several maintenance issues like broken window locks, worn cooker symbols, and chipped tumblers have been highlighted, suggesting a need for better upkeep.
While guests have mentioned thoughtful touches like games for children, there is no specific mention of gifts, and therefore it cannot be guaranteed that such gestures are a standard offering.

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. Only criticism is that the cleanliness wasn't great and we arrived to a dishwasher full of dirty crockery, some so stained that we had to wash it several times. Also many tumblers were chipped. Other than that we had a fantastic holiday and would return.

The matress protectors are tired and need replacing. Especially when you have super king cover on a king size bed
