Atlantic View is a well-received cottage in Cornwall, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and stunning sea views. Guests appreciate the property's quiet location, ideal for exploring local attractions and enjoying coastal walks. The well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches like a log burner add to the charm. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests planning to return.
Guests consistently mention the property as clean and well-maintained, with only one isolated comment about a musty smell suggesting a minor issue. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the positive experiences reported.
The location is frequently highlighted for its beauty and tranquility, with easy access to coastal paths and local attractions. The property's seclusion is seen as a positive aspect, although it is noted to be a bit isolated for those desiring immediate beach access.
Comfort is a strong point, with numerous reviews praising the comfortable beds and the cosy log burner. However, there are a few remarks about uncomfortable bunk bed mattresses and a soft bed, which slightly detract from the overall comfort score.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and communal areas. Some guests mention the lack of a freezer and issues with light bulbs, suggesting room for improvement in maintenance and facilities.
While many reviews express gratitude for the property's amenities and the responsiveness of the owner, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.
Atlantic View is one of a small group of cottages in the hamlet of Halgabron, set between the historic villages of Tintagel and Boscastle, within 10 minutes walk of the stunning North Cornwall coast. From here you can walk to the sandy cove of Bossiney Haven via the spectacular Rocky Valley and cliff steps down to the beach below.
As well as its own small garden and patio with views across the fields to the sea, Atlantic View shares with its neighbours a large lawned area with picnic tables and BBQ.
The cottage is cleverly arranged in a reverse style to take full advantage of the superb views. The first floor living/kitchen/diner is contemporary, stylish and fully open plan. Glazed doors lead to twin Juliet balconies, perfect for admiring the ever changing seascape just outside, and for those out of season breaks, the large wood burning stove adds extra warmth. On the ground floor are three bedrooms, a double and a bunk bedded room both with sea views, a second double room and a family bathroom.
Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthurs Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. The surrounding area is dominated by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery.

An absolute must if you enjoy walking because of its close proximity to the coastal path!

We loved the location, the walks over fields to Tintagel or down the Rocky Valley to the cliff top walks all perfect. Atlantic view for us is a wonderful base for North Cornwall with a lot of thought and care put into making a perfect holiday, would've loved to stay longer and would definitely return. Many thanks
Catherine
Perfect for a family holiday and just a short walk from Tintagel. The owners were very welcoming and gave great advice on local walks. Weâve stayed in North Cornwall many times and this is definitely one of the best places weâve stayed in.
