Snaptrip says

The Old Smithy is a well-received cottage, praised for its cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and excellent location for exploring Dorset. Guests appreciate the well-equipped nature of the property and the scenic views. While some noted traffic on the nearby lane and the absence of a dishwasher, the overall sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, contributing to a warm and comfortable stay. However, a few guests mentioned issues with cleanliness in the kitchen, which slightly impacts the overall high score.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to local attractions and the beauty of the surrounding countryside. The proximity to public footpaths and the coast adds to its appeal, despite some comments about the busy lane.

Guests consistently mention the comfortable beds and the cosy feel of the cottage. There are some remarks about the sofa and a double bed being less comfortable, which slightly lowers the score.

The cottage is considered well-equipped with a selection of entertainment options and a good heating system. Criticisms include the lack of a dishwasher, the need for blinds in the bedrooms, and some outdated appliances, which suggest room for improvement.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate the thoughtfulness of the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.
