The porch area provides shelter enough to sit out side in almost any weather and we made the most of it. The cottage itself if nestled among a 40 years old Arboretum which is a treat in itself. Sipping a morning cuppa or afternoon tipple whilst listening to the symphony of birdsong coming from the surrounding trees was just sublime. Friendly and attentive hosts was the icing on the cake of this delightful place.

Nestled in nature you can sit on the deck and take it all in. There’s everything you need and Alex’s millionaire’s shortbread is to die for. Alex and Neal are wonderful hosts. The kids love the mezzanine where they sleep. We love Pear Tree Lodge, we hope to be back soon.

Very comfortable beds and sofa. We saw lots of wildlife, in the garden, and it is near some wildlife reserves where we saw herons nesting. Would definitely come back!!
