About this property

A stunning converted mill, full of character and charm and set on a bank alongside the stream with the original millstone still intact as a feature within the attractive farmhouse dining room, reminding guests of the building’s original purpose. This cosy cottage has a quirky layout with open plan living room with kitchen area on the ground floor, the hub for guests and with steps down to the lower ground floor, leading to the twin bedroom and bathroom. There are a couple of steps up from the living room to the very appealing dining room, which has a cosy feel and is an ideal room for family time, with steps out to the mill pond garden. An ideal cottage for couples or a grown up family, as the cottage is beside the mill pond and stream and the bedrooms are apart, on different levels. This is an amazing property in a stunning location let down by worn fixtures and fittings, old bedding, frayed towels, ancient kitchen utensils and dusty hanging cobwebs

It would be even better in the summer when you can sit outside and enjoy the sound of the water the garden. Thank you to the owners for a warm welcome.

It was brilliant for a dog as all the floors were wooden and having a stable door meant we could keep the upper half open without worrying about the dog getting out . I loved the sound of running water outside my bedroom. The chickens and cats (especially Badger the cat) were friendly and it was great to be able to buy some eggs. Gary and Jackie were helpful and happy to talk about the farm. Lovely to walk around.
