Snaptrip says

The Cottage in Winterslow is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and friendly owners. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and the added bonus of a private garden. The local pub and village shop add to the convenience, and the property is well-situated for exploring the surrounding area. Some minor maintenance issues and early morning noise were noted.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as spotless. However, one review mentioned that some kitchen cupboards and plates could have been cleaner.

The location is generally appreciated for its quiet village setting, proximity to local amenities, and good access to nearby attractions. Some guests mentioned noise from shop deliveries, which slightly impacted the tranquillity.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, highlighting the cosy atmosphere and comfortable beds. However, some guests suggested improvements to seating comfort and mentioned issues with a bedroom window and bathroom door.

The property is well-regarded for its facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and private garden. Nonetheless, there are comments about maintenance issues such as a leaking shower, problematic oven, and the need for better kitchen equipment.

While guests have mentioned a welcome pack and a bottle of wine on arrival, as these gifts are not consistently referenced across all reviews, it is not possible to accurately assess the thoughtfulness category. Therefore, it is politely noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

It was comfortable and warm - even at the end of April a bit of the very efficient heating was occasionally needed - had all the facilities we required and everything worked as it should. The nearby owners were easily accessible, friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. Some previous reviews have mentioned early delivery noise from the shop, but we experienced absolutely none and feel that it is not a matter for concern. The Cottage is well placed for access to both Salisbury and Winchester and to many other places of interest, and were we to be seeking a holiday property in this area again it would be at the top of our list.

Our son is now based in Salisbury and the cottage was a very good commute for him for his first week. The owners were friendly and helpful. The cottage was cosy and well equipped, perfectly located, with handy shop and very good pub for food, plus fish and chip van once a week. Friendly locals too! Consider height of sofas and chairs. Although nice, I couldnt sit on the sofa at all, its far too low to get up from and hurts back, which several of us have to watch! The chair with footstool very bad for anyones back I'm afraid. Only our 23 year old son could sit in that! I used the super stripy chair all week to sit on. The cottage needs more of these. The bathroom door sticks and needs tugging to open, and one of the seals on the 4 part folding shower door tends to come away. Apart from those small details, everything perfect!

The local pub Lord Nelson is very friendly and good food. Winterslow was ideal for walks to other villages. The bus service runs on time and cheap to get to Salisbury. We would recommend visiting the Army flying museum.
