About this property

On the Suffolk coast, discover this chocolate box cottage for two with cute features and contemporary styling inside. A getaway destination made for romance, you’ll love curling up by the warming wood burner here after long walks and beachy activities on Suffolk’s heritage coastline. There are walks to be had from the property’s doorstep, wandering out of the village of Snape and along the River Alde (0.5 miles) towards the seaside village of Aldeburgh (5.5 miles).

Make your way into this redbrick cottage to find yourselves in the cosy lounge, an inviting space with comfy seating, a crackling wood burner, and a Smart TV to keep you entertained. A gentle archway then leads through to the well-equipped kitchen and diner, a light, bright space that’s ready to accommodate all your culinary talents, complete with a dining table set for two. When day turns to night, follow the cottage stairs up to the airy double bedroom that offers an uninterrupted night sleep, served by a well-appointed shower room. Outside, to the front lies a tranquil open space with a bench, perfect for perching with a morning coffee. To the rear, unwind in the enclosed garden, complete with a furnished patio space that offers the ideal spot for an al fresco evening meal.

There’s nothing but scenery to be found in Snape’s surrounding area, including the Snape Marshes, offering unique wetlands and walking trails throughout (300 metres). At Snape Maltings, embark on a boat trip down towards Iken (3 miles) from the historic harbour, or follow a scenic, circular route along the water’s edge to St Botolph's Church (3 miles). To explore a little further away, take the car and park in Woodbridge (10.5 miles) before plotting a route around Sutton Hoo, an intriguing Anglo-Saxon burial site with 245 acres of nature to explore.

This little cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and in a great location for visiting Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh and slightly further afield places such as Framlingham and Southwold. There is allocated parking for one vehicle to the rear of the garden. The patio garden would be a lovely private place to sit in, weather permitting. There are three pubs within walking distance - the Crown opposite served excellent Italian food. When I had to contact the managing company, the issue was resolved within hours - very impressive service.
