About this property

You can enjoy the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales from the moment you wake up until you drift off to sleep when you stay at Moorside Farm Cottage. Located on a family-run farm two miles from Grassington, the charming Yorkshire stone holiday cottage has spectacular views over the fells towards Simon's Seat and breathtakingly brilliant night skies. It is built from Yorkshire stone and sleeps eight people in four bedrooms, with a layout that suits families, extended families and friends. The cottage is child and dog-friendly, has good access to beautiful footpaths and cycling routes, and is within easy reach of Skipton, Ripon and Harrogate.

Moorside Farm Cottage is part of the most spectacular landscape you can imagine. The stone holiday cottage is near Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and close to some of the region's favourite footpaths and most beautiful scenery. It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms with families and friends having far-reaching views of Simon's Seat and the Fell. The owner, who has lived at Moorside Farm since they were a child, has created a holiday property that feels like a familiar home-away-from-home. Guests of all ages, including dogs, feel welcome as soon as they arrive. There are stunning walks and bike rides from the door, including a short path to the village tea room and the 18th Century Clarendon country pub.

Grassington will be familiar to fans of the latest television adaptation of "All Creatures Great and Small" as it is filmed in and around the market square. It's only two miles from Moorside Farm and boasts independent shops selling all the essentials as well as tempting art, crafts and homewares. An excellent farmers' market showcasing the best local produce is on the third Sunday of every month. More places to eat, drink and shop are in Skipton, Ripon and Harrogate, all within a very scenic 30-40 minute drive from the cottage. Leeds and Manchester are an hour and 90 minutes respectively for a day of city shopping and sightseeing.

Many guests who stay at Moorside Farm Cottage are attracted by the area's excellent walking and cycling. Malham, Gordale Scar, and the waterfalls at Ingleton are outstanding in all seasons, and you can reach Burnsall, Simon's Seat and Appletreewick via footpaths from the farm. Local attractions include Kilnsey Park's fishing lake, pony rides and nature trails, and historic properties like Parcevall Hall and Gardens. Visit Bolton Abbey in Wharfdale, indulge in a Turkish bath in Harrogate, or hire a bike to explore the fells further than you could reach on foot.

Moorside Farm Cottage greets guests with a warm welcome all year round, offering lots of space, fantastic views, and very comfortable accommodation.
