Snaptrip says

Rushton Barn is highly praised for its cleanliness, welcoming hosts, and beautiful location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, comfortable furnishings, and the delightful presence of alpacas. The property is noted for its peacefulness and is recommended for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers consistently mention the spotless condition of the property, highlighting its cleanliness as a standout feature. The meticulous attention to cleanliness contributes to the overall positive experience.

The property's location is celebrated for its quiet, peaceful setting with stunning views of the Dales, proximity to local attractions, and ease of access to walking routes. The nearby pub within walking distance is also a plus.

Guests find the barn cosy and comfortable, with a homely feel and a comfortable bed. The presence of a log burner adds to the cosy atmosphere, although there is a mention of noise from the upstairs occupants.

The barn is well-equipped for self-catering, with high-spec fittings and furniture. However, there are minor mentions of a sticking tap and door handle, and a suggestion for a hot tub. The lack of independent heating control was noted but did not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the welcome treats such as wine, cakes, and flowers. While these gestures are warmly received, it is politely noted that such gifts, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The cottage itself - which is the ground floor 'apartment' of the barn - is delightful. Hazel and Charlie have gone to great effort to make it very comfortable and welcoming, with many lovely touches. They were super hosts - even checking what colour wine I would like as they left a bottle of wine along with milk, etc ready for my arrival. There was even a 'Tuesday Treat' - a really delicious, large slice of cream sponge cake - as an extra. There is everything you need for a relaxing stay - and when I was unsure about using the woodburning stove, they kindly offered to come across to start it off. The little, sheltered garden outside the front door is delightful - and I really enjoyed being given food to feed the alpacas who live in the neighbouring field. Hazel was very happy to suggest places to visit, restaurants for meals/coffee, etc, which was really helpful, but they were never at all intrusive. Perfect hosts, in fact! I have already been recommending this cottage to friends as it really is a gem, set in a beautiful rural location, but within easy driving distance of Settle. Thank you, Hazel and Charlie.

The Alpacas were a highlight of our stay they came to say hello every morning. The views & wildlife were lovely to sit & watch , and the barn had everything we needed , with all the essentials there for you to use to stay in on a cold night with the log burner on.
