Guests consistently praise the Ramblers Retreat for its comfortable furnishings, well-equipped kitchen, and the luxury of a hot tub, which is particularly appreciated after exploring the scenic walks nearby. The property's 'upside down' layout adds charm, and the location is celebrated for its proximity to Settle's village centre and local amenities. The thoughtful touches, including welcome gifts and dog treats, contribute to the homely feel, making it a highly recommended stay for a relaxing holiday in the Yorkshire Dales.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is frequently described as clean and well-maintained, with several guests specifically noting its cleanliness. There are no negative comments regarding cleanliness, indicating high standards are met.

The location is highly praised for being close to the town centre and within easy reach of local walks and amenities. A few guests mentioned a less desirable view from certain areas, but this does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback about the location.

Comfort is a highlight, with numerous guests mentioning the comfortable beds and the cosy atmosphere of the cottage. The hot tub is frequently cited as a rejuvenating feature that adds to the overall comfort of the stay.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the kitchen being well-equipped and the hot tub being a standout feature. Some minor issues with the shower and Netflix connectivity are noted, but these do not seem to overshadow the otherwise excellent facilities.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of welcome gifts such as prosecco and treats for dogs, which are mentioned in several reviews. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Fortunately you don’t have to go very far for the views. Hot tub is an excellent addition and was used every evening. Plenty of blankets for the dog and the enclosed garden was secure enough for my small Chihuahua.

The cottage had practically everything you could possibly think of and all the little touch’s to make it homely would definitely stay there again

Pleasant bedrooms downstairs, and a delightful kitchen and living room upstairs. Plenty of room for two adults, two large teenage boys, and two greyhounds to stay. Great hot tub too. We enjoyed the welcome prosecco, and the friendly owner was immediately in touch to check we had arrived okay and all was well.
