About this property

A lovely first floor studio apartment, formerly a blacksmith's workshop, in the heart of popular Grassington. Lovingly restored, Lottie's Loft has been individually styled and furnished to provide top quality accommodation in a superb location. There are excellent facilities, with a well-equipped kitchen, open plan living area, a super king-size bed, a separate dressing room and an open ceiling with exposed beams and Velux window. An ideal romantic retreat, or simply somewhere to recharge the batteries and enjoy Dales life at its finest, Lottie's Loft is a minute's walk from the village's wide range of shops and pubs, while Grassington's Dickensian weekends and festivals are not to be missed! The area is a walker's paradise, with beautiful walks along the river to Linton Falls, as well as more challenging walks into the nearby hills. An outstanding holiday cottage, not to be missed! Note: Can be booked with Ref 2317 to sleep 4.

Grassington is one of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Traditional stone cottages and shops are clustered around the cobbled market place, offering exceptional shopping facilities for a village of this size, with a monthly farmer's market offering a mouthwatering range of organic and homemade local produce. Situated on the River Wharfe, with the extensive Grass Woods to the north of the village, this is a superb walking area. Down dale is Bolton Abbey with the Abbey ruins, the Priory and the famous "Strid Walk". A little further is the elegant town of Ilkley, overlooked by the famous Ilkley Moor. Up dale are Kettlewell and Buckden boasting spectacularly beautiful limestone scenery. With many other beauty spots scattered throughout Wharfedale, Grassington provides a great base for exploring the local area and all that the Dales have to offer, with Brontë Country and York also being within easy motoring distance.

Very noisy generator outside for two days then road works starting drilling at 7.30 all week Car parking difficult lucky to get space on arrival I did not use car all week as didn’t want to lose space. So could not venture out and see other places as I could lose parking space Mattress needs to be firmer it was so soft got a back ache.

The only thing that needs changing is the mattress on the bed as it is very soft and is like sleeping on a half inflated airbed. A couple of nights on it is enough for your back. Otherwise this property is a 10 out of 10.

Very homely and comfortable with everything we could have needed. We would definitely book again.
