Snaptrip says

Lavender Cottage receives high praise for its cleanliness, cosy comfort, and prime location in the Yorkshire Dales. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, the thoughtful welcome gifts, and the proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. The cottage's traditional features and the availability of wood for the burner add to its charm, making it a highly recommended stay for exploring the Dales.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently note the cottage's cleanliness, with many reviews highlighting it as lovely and clean. One review mentioned grubby carpets and poor-quality towels, but this seems an outlier compared to the overall feedback.

The location is frequently praised for its quietness, proximity to local attractions, and ease of access to walking routes. It is described as ideal for exploring the Southern Yorkshire Dales and nearby villages.

The cottage is repeatedly described as cosy and comfortable, with comfortable beds and a warm atmosphere. The presence of a log burner adds to the comfort level, although one review mentioned issues with hot water and water pressure.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-stocked kitchen and the provision of wood for the burner. However, some guests noted the lack of a proper shower attachment and issues with the hot water system, suggesting room for improvement.

Many guests mention and appreciate the thoughtful welcome gifts, including cake, Prosecco, and milk. While these gifts are warmly received, it is important to note that such personal touches, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The owner is investing in the property with a new bathroom, relatively new windows in most rooms so it was nice and cosy. A fair price and great location for exploring local walks. On road parking was safe and secure.

The delicious cake and Prosecco was much appreciated! It was lovely to be able to walk to Grassington and nearby Linton. We also enjoyed taking the bus from Threshfield into Skipton. We can also recommend the generous pizzas served in the Old Hall pub very handily situated opposite the cottage. We would love to return to this idyllic spot.

Lovely welcome with cake and Prosecco and plenty of wood provided for log burner which was appreciated as it was quite cool in the evenings as it was February. The only negative was the armchair in the lounge which is well past its sell buy date and rather rickety. We had a very pleasant stay and would come again maybe to a slightly bigger cottage next time.
