Snaptrip says

Peg's Cottage is highly praised for its location, welcoming host, and pet-friendly environment. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting, enclosed garden, and the cottage's cosy atmosphere. While some mention a need for a new mattress and better internet connection, the overall experience is positive with many looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage is consistently described as clean and spotless, with only one mention of a lack of a vacuum cleaner making it difficult to clean before departure. This suggests high standards of cleanliness are maintained.

The location is frequently highlighted as peaceful, beautiful, and ideal for exploring the area, with plenty of walks and a quiet village setting. The positive remarks about the location are overwhelming.

Comfort receives mixed reviews. While many find the cottage cosy and the bed comfortable, there are several mentions of an uncomfortable mattress and a desire for more comfortable seating, indicating room for improvement.

Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and effective gas log burner. However, there are comments about poor internet connection, small TV size, and the need for a new tin opener, suggesting some facilities could be updated.

While the reviews reflect a welcoming host and helpful staff, there is no specific mention of gifts, thus it is not possible to assess thoughtfulness in terms of gifts, and the score is set to null.

Dogs loved the garden but had to be carefully watched as there's a resident pheasant and lambs in the adjoining fields.very nice and peaceful place for a week's break, unfortunately we had the usual Yorkshire weather all week

The property was well enclosed and safe for our dog to roam also allowed to make use of the owners garden. Very peaceful location and ideal for visiting historical places of interest. Very much would recommend a stay here.

It has clearly been updated since the pictures online were taken. Good access to major routes to the coast and close enough to Helmsley to make eating out there possible. The facilities were really good and some unexpected extras ( milk, kitchen roll, tea and coffee) meant we could settle in straight away. We mainly used it as a base to explore the coast from and chose to eat out each night. But there were potsand pans etc available had we wanted to cook. The furniture was clean and comfortable enough for our needs. We stayed with 2 small dogs so it was great to have the little garden. We would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.
