Holly Cottage is a charming property praised for its peaceful location and enclosed garden, ideal for pets. Guests appreciate the cosy open fire and the cottage's proximity to local attractions. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of certain amenities are noted, the overall experience is one of comfort and rural tranquillity.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, though a few guests mentioned areas needing attention, such as windows and floors. The majority, however, found the property to be clean and well-kept.

The location is highly praised for its quiet, rural setting with easy access to beaches and moors. Guests enjoy the tranquillity and proximity to Whitby and other attractions.

Most guests find the cottage comfortable, with a cosy lounge and secure garden. However, some noted the double bed's comfort and the compactness of rooms as areas for improvement.

Facilities are generally well-received, especially the open fire and garden. Criticisms include the lack of a washing machine, some outdated features, and minor maintenance issues. The absence of a washing machine, despite being advertised, was a notable inconvenience for some guests.

While some guests mention receiving welcome gifts such as wine and milk, others noted the absence of basic provisions. As gifts are inconsistently mentioned and not guaranteed, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness based on the available information.

Ideally located for both coast and moors, very quiet with walks from the door and shops/eateries, a short drive away. It is quirky and rustic, with super outside facilities. It is the place to go if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of every day life.
