Only 1 large glass & 1 large mug. A couple of plates were chipped which I did not like. 2 new frying pans are needed as everything sticks. However as the utensils were all metal I see how they got so bad. All other pans were fine. As the cottage is so remote it would have been nice to have a welcome pack. Everything worked well and was clean and tidy. Superb bathroom.

Very spacious accommodation for a couple and lovely and warm, whatever the weather. Superb location for walking with amazing views but be prepared for gradients! You can walk to Robin Hood's Bay for a range of meal options via the beach at low tide (check the times as only 3 hours either side of low tide - see guide provided in cottage) or along the cliffs at other times and the Youth Hostel at Boggle Hole offers a range of snacks and meals during the day and the evening. There are many places to visit inland and along the coast - we recommend the "park and ride" for Whitby. We certainly hope to return in the future.

Having a car charger available was brilliant (especially in an area where public provision is limited), even though in practice we didn’t feel the need to drive long distances, or to use the car every day. Something of a benchmark cottage for us! Downsides? For some, the remoteness may be an issue - realistically you will need a car to get there and to get provisions etc.
