The property was spotless and felt like a home away from home. The bed and sofa were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything you would need to make a meal and was fully fitted with most things you would need. It lacks a freezer and a washing machine but I've been in cottages that had these and never used them because I'm on holiday. The back garden was small but got the sun for most of the day and a patio set was provided. Amazingly enough so was the sun. The cottage is located in the prettiest part of the village and was very peaceful. I stayed alone and felt very safe. It is convenient for the community shop and the White Horse which does the most fantastic Sunday Roast. Don't order a starter as you will never finish it. A short walk out of the village takes you to East Leeds Airport which has a cafe where you can watch the dinky little planes. There is an hourly train service into York from the nearby station which takes less than 15 minutes. All in all it was a very relaxing holiday. I even potted a few balls on the miniature snooker table.

Sarah left us some milk, coffee etc so we didn’t need to shop straight away. The village is lovely and quiet, the villages were very friendly, the little shop had all you could need at reasonable prices. Hopefully we will have another stay later in the year.

Comfortable living room. Nice bedrooms too. Quiet location and felt a very safe neighbourhood. So easy to access York on the train. The railway station is a quick stroll away.
