Snaptrip says

7 Cummertrees is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and comfort. The enclosed garden is a highlight, particularly for dog owners. The property is equipped for a relaxing stay, with a few minor maintenance notes. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches and are eager to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as spotless and well-presented. Only one mention of sofas needing attention slightly impacts the score.

The location is celebrated for its tranquillity and proximity to local amenities and nature, with easy access to walks and wildlife. The dark skies suitable for stargazing add to the charm, although one mention of a gap under the gate for smaller dogs slightly reduces the score.

Guests find the cottage cosy and homely, with comfortable beds and sofas. The large garden adds to the comfort, providing space for relaxation. A suggestion for a soap holder and a long-handled brush indicates room for minor improvements.

The property is well-equipped with a big shower and kitchen amenities. However, there are mentions of a non-working log burner and a need for a new can opener, indicating some facilities require maintenance.

While guests express gratitude for the hospitality and mention the provision of basics like tea and cooking essentials, there are no specific references to gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to score thoughtfulness based on gifts, and the score is set to null.

Also a great garden, so well cared for. It was secure for our two dogs. There are some lovely walks straight form the cottage to Powfoot and the Solway. We had a lovely meal at the Powfoot Hotel (and a few coffees and cakes). Thanks to the owner for ringing us before our stay, it added a personal touch.

Our only wee gripe is the telly is slow to respond.

One of the best I have stayed in. A gloriously beautiful part of the world.
