A bright, renovated highland cottage, peacefully situated in the hills, high above Drumnadrochit, only 3½ miles away. Beautifully secluded, with a lively burn bubbling past. Reached by 1½ miles of fairly steep tarred road then ¾ of a mile of track through a birch wood. Fishing permits can be obtained locally. A perfect holiday retreat. Glen Affric and the west coast are well worth a visit, with Inverness only half an hour away. Shop and pub 3½ miles.

The remoteness of the cottage (be prepared to drive up a track), it was so peaceful. Good value for the price. The nature around you, the sheep visitors to the garden, the toadstools and fungus growing in the garden. The stream next to the cottage. Interior is fairly basic, but reminded me of grandparents and had most things you needed. Great book collection available to read, if you have time to take advantage - we were too busy going out on long day trips.

An incredible location, very remote and peaceful. This is a great space that is completely private and a little off the beaten track yet still close enough to nearby amenities. Lovely cottage with lots of character and a great place to return after a days adventuring. Guestbook is filled with lovely suggestions of things to do. Would highly recommend.
