Guests consistently praise the cottage for its modern amenities, secure and peaceful setting, and welcoming hosts. The property's cleanliness and tasteful decor are highlighted, along with the added convenience of a private garden. Its central location on Anglesey makes it ideal for exploring the island. While some minor issues are mentioned, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests planning to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers frequently mention the spotless condition and cleanliness of the cottage, indicating a high standard of hygiene and care.

The central location is appreciated for its quietness and convenience to local attractions and beaches, though it is noted that a car is necessary due to the rural setting.

Comfort is a recurring theme, with guests finding the cottage cosy and the beds very comfortable. The secure garden adds to the comfort for those with pets.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces. Some guests mention a lack of mirrors and shower facilities, which slightly impacts the score.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, including welcome hampers and treats for dogs. However, it is politely noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

About this property

Llannerch-Y-Medd 4.3 miles. Enjoying rural surroundings in Capel Coch near Llannerch-y-Medd, Anglesey is this stone-built, mid-terrace cottage of No 2 The Stables. A farm building conversion boasting underfloor heating and resting within gated grounds, No 2 The Stables is a relaxing base for a small family or two couples to retreat to. After parking in one of the two off-road parking spaces, progress inside to find a kitchen/diner, where wooden cabinets host a range of appliances that any budding chef will be pleased with. Once a tasty meal has been made here, enjoy it with your loved ones at the adjacent dining table, or take it outside to the patio, where you can savour a countryside, alfresco dinner. Afterward, continue to the tastefully furnished sitting room, where the flickering flames of the woodburning stove will keep you warm as you unwind in front of the TV. When sleep calls, head upstairs to catch your rest in one of the two bedrooms, both featuring vaulted ceilings, giving them a light and airy feel throughout. The first of these enjoys an en-suite shower room, whilst the other sits close to a handy bathroom, where you can relish a relaxing dip before wandering out to see the sights. Resting moments away from Anglesey's coast and outdoor activities, No 2 The Stables is a superb choice for your next getaway. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 1097104, 1100764 and 1100765, together sleeping up to 16 guests.

Llannerch-y-Medd, a rural village on the Isle of Anglesey, is the ideal place to immerse yourself in Welsh culture. With more than 60% of the locals speaking Welsh, there's no better time to learn a new language and put your skills to the test. The defunct Anglesey Central Railway runs through the village, making it a great site for train enthusiasts. There's also a café and tea rooms adjacent to the ancient surviving buildings, making it a magnificent spot to take in the scenery of Wales.

Exceptionally clean. You’d never have known dogs had stayed in there previously. Lots of thought has gone into small details which make a big difference. Good work!

  • Tammy

Clean and everything we needed. Very quiet and a good base for days out. Would recommend Thanks

The Stables is clean and comfortable and we always enjoy staying. The only criticism I have is the area for dog walking within the property is very disappointing.
