Other places worth visiting, within easy driving distance, include Chester Zoo, 28 miles, Blue Planet Aquarium, 30 miles and Beeston Castle, 18 miles. Cholmondeley Castle Gardens are 12 miles and Delamere Forest, with its ‘Go Ape’ treetop adventure park, is 20 miles away. The property is located next to a dairy farm with windows overlooking the farm which was amazing for the kids to watch. The property itself is decorated to a high standard with all mod cons and the biggest, comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in! The hosts made our stay extra special by recommending local Halloween attractions and also left our children Halloween themed gifts with decorated pumpkins at the property’s entrance. Fantastic property in a quiet and peaceful part of the world. All while being great value for money.

We liked everything. The beds were very comfortable with gorgeous bedding and spacious rooms. Shower and seperate bath with lovely big towels. Kitchen exceptionally equipped down to a shopping bag hanging by the front door. The open plan layout worked really well. The cottage was spotlessly clean. Owners were welcoming and even gave my granddaughter, whose 6, a tour of the dairy farm which she loved. Great location for exploring North Wales, Shropshire and Cheshire, the cottage itself is easy to find and in an idyllic setting with private parking, it is on a small family run dairy farm so you can see the cows going to be milked from the bedroom windows which for us was a bonus.
