About this property

Located in the north of the Lake District, on the edge of the tranquil village of Hesket Newmarket, this delightful property offers guests a peaceful and restful stay. Pack your hiking boots and head out for a walk along the path from the village green, down to the bridge and onto the Cumbria Way. Head to Caldbeck (2.5 miles) or Sebergham (5 miles), and stroll through woodlands with valley views. Past Caldbeck, find The Howk and pretty waterfalls as you follow the river. High Pike (4.5 miles) and Carrock Fell (4 miles) can both be walked to from the door, and several other walks in the Northern Fells are within easy reach and are great hiking spots for those looking for a more challenging hike. Hop in the car and visit Bassenthwaite, Keswick and Derwentwater (all within 16.5 miles) for further amenities and tourist spots or to try your hand at boating or fishing on the lake. As you step inside this welcoming abode, built on the footprint of an old barn, you'll find yourself in a spacious entrance hall, perfect for shedding your boots and outdoor gear after a day of exploring the stunning Lakeland scenery. Proceeding from the entrance hall, you'll enter the heart of the home, an open plan dining area that seamlessly flows into a spacious lounge. The dining area is bathed in natural light, creating a bright and airy space for your meals. The lounge area, with stunning views across the nearby rolling hills and farmland, is the perfect spot to unwind after a day of adventures. It features a wood burner in addition to the oil fired central heating, creating a cosy and inviting ambience, especially on chilly evenings. Curl up on the comfortable sofas and enjoy a movie night with the TV that provides access to various streaming platforms or watch a DVD. If you prefer the outdoors, the lounge also boasts doors that open onto the garden, allowing you to soak in the fresh air and beautiful views. Also on the ground floor is the modern and well equipped kitchen. This kitchen is a chef's delight, with all the amenities you need to prepare your favourite meals. There's also a utility room for laundry needs and a downstairs WC for added convenience. Venturing upstairs, you'll find a spacious double bedroom with an en suite shower. Next door is another delightful double bedroom, elegantly decorated and equipped with everything you need for a peaceful night's sleep. A single bedroom is also available, making it ideal for families or groups of friends. Completing the upper level is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, ensuring that everyone has access to a relaxing bathing experience.
