Guests consistently describe the property as immaculately clean, beautifully maintained, and spotless, indicating a very high standard of cleanliness.

The property is appreciated for its peaceful location, proximity to local attractions, and a nearby pub. However, the absence of a local shop and some accessibility issues with local walks slightly affect the score.

Reviewers find the cottage very comfortable, with special mentions of a comfortable bed and cosy atmosphere. A few concerns about heating control and noise from the owner's property are noted.

The barn is well-equipped according to guests, with high-quality furnishings and thoughtful amenities. Some minor issues with maintenance and heating control are mentioned.

Many reviews highlight the host's thoughtfulness, including welcome gifts and attention to detail. While gifts are warmly received, it should be noted that such personal touches, though delightful, are offered at the host's discretion.

Pipistrelle Barn was everything we expected and more, fine furnishings throughout and was always lovely and warm…too warm until we tweaked the thermostat. Just a short walk along the very quiet lane to a nice homely pub the Red Lion and not far from the main towns for our days out. If you have a dog there is a footpath at rear of property over open field or just stroll along the lane where you rarely came across traffic. Would definitely recommend and won’t hesitate to book again.

Superb accommodation in a perfect location to explore the peaks. So relaxing and peaceful but close enough to Ashbourne for all amenities. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

The cottage was fantastic, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The barn has been converted to a high standard. the owner was very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely revisit.
