About this property

River View is a light and airy cottage which has been superbly presented and comfortably equipped in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The River Bradford, with Kingfishers, Dippers and lots of other wildlife, passes by the front garden and offers a fascinating walk past mysterious pools and ancient remnants. The cottage also sits on the Limestone Way, with a myriad of paths and historic sites in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Youlgreave village is just up the road, with pubs serving good food and real ales, as well as local shops with a reputation for caring excellence. The glorious medieval church stands tall looking over the whole area. Just over the horizon is Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall with their famous gardens. A few miles further will take you to the Monday market in Bakewell, to Matlock Bath with its breathtaking cable car ride, or even to Buxton with its architectural splendours.

If the weather is fine begin the day with breakfast on the patio. After a hard day's exploring have a glass of wine on the sunny seat in the front garden. When it drops cool just cuddle up by the glowing wood-burning stove. Life doesn't get much better than this!

Cottage facilities:

An attractive lounge with glowing log burning stove, dining table, flat screen T.V. DVD, Freesat and Wi-Fi. A fitted dining/kitchen with original quarry tiled floor, extendable table and chairs, cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. A utility room with automatic washer, small tumble-dryer and ample storage for coats and boots. A lovely double bedroom, with cot space, looking out over the river. A similar quality twin bedroom. A downstairs bathroom with bath, separate shower and W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating and power are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a small front garden and rear patio with furniture. Private parking for one car is available by the side of the cottage and there are other spaces on the quiet lanes nearby. Pets and smoking are not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Weekly bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas and New Year.
