Guests enjoyed the peaceful wildlife garden and found the location ideal for exploring Dartmoor and the coast. The welcoming touches, such as homemade cakes, were appreciated, though one review mentioned a steep driveway and unexpected sheep in the garden.

The cottage is consistently described as very clean, with multiple reviews affirming its tidiness and well-kept condition.

The location is highly regarded for its proximity to local beaches, Dartmoor, and National Trust properties, although one review cited the driveway and nearby sheep as minor inconveniences.

Sally and Anthony were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed visiting National Trust garden & spending time on the beautiful South Hams beaches. The EV charging facility was a boon, it would be great if more properties had this facility. We would definitely return again

The driveway is a total nightmare. It’s very steep and you have to turn very sharply in to it from a narrow lane. There was no mention of sheep in the field directly behind the property that belonged to someone else who we found wandering around what we thought was solely our garden doing gardening and feeding the sheep. This was quite disconcerting. The owners woke us on the day after we arrived banging around in the garage which was under our bedroom quite early and unfortunately my girlfriend’s birthday. They were going on holiday and getting prepared. Rubbish had to be put behind owners property not in the bins outside our property which seemed strange. South Brent is a good base for a holiday in Decon but the actual property is not very convenient due to issues above.

The owners, who live next door, are welcoming but not intrusive.
