Bryn Ogwen is a well-received holiday cottage with stunning views and a comfortable, well-equipped interior. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, cleanliness, and the property's charm. The steep and narrow driveway is noted, but the location serves as a great base for exploring the area. The house's layout and amenities are praised, though some minor issues with parking and seating are mentioned.
The property is generally described as clean and tidy, with guests expressing satisfaction with the level of cleanliness. However, one review mentioned it was 'acceptably clean', implying there might be room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its incredible views and proximity to local attractions. Bangor serves as a convenient base for visiting Snowdonia and other sites, though the town itself is noted to have limited attractions.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the house cosy, with ample space for large groups. Some concerns are raised about heavy doors and the seating arrangement in the living room, but overall, the property is considered very comfortable.
The property boasts excellent facilities, including a well-stocked kitchen and multiple bathrooms. However, the steep driveway and parking challenges, along with some suggestions for additional en-suites, indicate that there is some room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

It was perfect for a group of us who were celebrating 50 years since we started at Bangor Uni. It was very comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. The showers were all good. The views were spectacular and it was lovely being so close to the pier and the Straits. All in all an excellent stay. The internet was not working when we arrived but was soon sorted by Sykes - thank you very much. One or two other minor issues which we shared with Sykes but nothing to spoil the stay. Would highly recommend. One suggestion would be that the facilities for recycling would be provided. We havenât stayed anywhere before where this isnât the case.

The house was is in a great position overlooking the pier and the telescope was a great touch and was used by all looking out to sea and to Anglesey. We also like the fact you are situated where most places we wanted to go to were all under an hour. It was the perfect place to introduce my grandsons to their great nanas homeland. Their verdict is âwe love Walesâ

Nor did they respond to messages left requesting a call back. It was only after calling Sykes, who we think spoke to the owner that they called us. They did then resolve the problem promptly.
