This annexe provides smart and comfortable accommodation for two in a peaceful, rural location yet within easy walking distance of village amenities and a pleasant drive to the lovely scenic attractions of Mid Wales.
The Willows End is a newly refurbished self-contained annexe at the rear of the owners' home, on the edge of the village of Caersws, in the lovely Mid Wales countryside. Caersws is a thriving village with excellent amenities including butcher/fish and chip shop, petrol station/small supermarket, convenience store, hairdresser, Post Office, two pubs - one with Vintage Tea Rooms, and mainline railway station with regular trains between Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth, all within half a mile.
This delightful, well-presented property has a fitted kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The adjacent dining room, with a table and four chairs, opens out into the comfortable sitting room with sofa, armchair and electric flame-effect stove. There is a TV with FreeSat and DVD player, a radio/CD player and WiFi. The smart shower room is also on the ground floor and upstairs is a spacious bedroom with super king size bed, which can be made up as twin beds if preferred. Outside, there are gardens shared with the owner, but the guests have their own patio area with garden furniture and a gas barbecue, whilst the owners have a separate, private patio area. Although an annexe to the main house, the property does maintain a good degree of privacy. Bike storage is available in the garage and there is an outside tap/hose for bike washing if required.
The Willows End is ideal for a couple or two friends looking for a relaxing break surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, whilst within easy walking distance of excellent village facilities. Nearby attractions include the Mid Wales Art Centre and a Golf Driving Range on the outskirts of Caersws, the Mid Wales Shooting Centre in Trefeglwys (the owner of The Willows End has a gun cabinet and can provide secure gun storage by arrangement), Llyn Clwedog for watersports, Welshpool-Llanfair Light Railway, Powis Castle (NT). A little further afield is the market town of Rhayader and the Elan Valley to the south, a scenic drive north takes you to the mountains of the South Snowdonia National Park and to the west are the beaches of Abersytwyth, Borth and Ynyslas.
