There's plenty for cyclists both on and off road, including the scenic 2nd stage of 2018 Tour de Yorkshire route, or for more leisurely pursuits, a short car journey will take you to Haworth where you can immerse yourself in the history of the Bronte family who lived there, Shibden hall, the home of "Gentleman Jack" Anne Lister is also only a short drive away near Halifax. Cragside Cottage is a superb base for exploring all that this part of Yorkshire has to offer.

Hebden Bridge is a town resting in the Calderdale area and is home to Rochdale Canal and a Victorian railway station, as well as a wide selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Within the surrounding area you will find superb walking opportunities which includes the National Trust owned Hardcastle Crags and the Pennine Way.
