The perfect break!
What a little gem of a property. Myself, my wife and our little dog stayed at The Croft to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversary. The house is surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty which made great walks, with a welcome stop at a local pub for lunch. Malvern hills, wye valley and Cotswolds wildlife park and Zoo were just a few of the highlights. The house itself was absolutely outstanding. The level of care when we arrived shone through (from little chocolates by the bed and milk in the fridge to an anniversary card). The owners live next door and are the kindest loveliest people you could ever wish to meet! They do not intrude on your holiday at all. The grounds surrounding the house are quite difficult to put into words - a private forest, pond/lake and wonderful farm animals. Our little dog was really in his element here and we were too! The hot tub was a welcome way to end the day. Highly recommend staying here! It is a great place to unwind. We also purchased some lovely meat from the owners farm which is absolutely delicious. If your looking for a home from home then this is the place to be.
We stayed for 5 nights at the little pound cottage, Pete and Donna who restored the cottage done an amazing job, with little touches of antiques around the cottage to the beautiful log fire, it really has been beautifully put together by them both. The cottage is located perfectly for visiting Ludlow, Leominster, Tenbury Wells, Bewdley etc. The cottage was spotless and they even left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. The hosts Pete and Donna were so welcoming and we look forward to seeing them again as well as visiting the cottage. We have already told all our friends and family about the cottage and they plan to visit in the near future. The little pound cottage is truly beautiful and at the end of each day myself and my partner couldnât wait to go back to it each day from our outings. We can honestly say we already feel like we have built a second home in this cottage and cannot wait to return! The chocolate box lives up to its name. You enter into a small hall bedecked with mirrors lit by two amazing lights 3 doors leave. To the left you have a bathroom complete with a double bath surrounded by old wood and verdigris coated copper. It also sports an antique mirror. The middle door leads to a double bedroom with a really comfortable modern four poster bed. Another unique light sets it off. Then we move to door 3 and the main living area. Once again a great colour scheme set off by multi coloured lights and another 2 great lights. Remote control blinds including one that doubles as a TV projector screen cover the windows. Great views from the back. Off road parking is available. It has only one negative and that is the lack of outside space. However across the road there is a very quiet road leading to a track up on to the hills great for those short doggy calls of nature. We were lucky to be the first guests at this place and I would highly recommend it.

The cottage was big enough for us and our cocker spaniel Ben.
The kitchen was stocked well. The fridge was a standard floor fridge with a small drop down lid compartment freezer section, (so no room for frozen goods). Beds were comfortable with lots of draw space in the bedroom. A walk in wardrobe area with plenty of extra hangers (although we had plenty with us). The bathroom with shower was a good size baring in mind the nature of the cottage roof. We were warm and cosy. Outside the grounds are stunning and it was a pleasure to be able to stoll around. Then the views.......fabulous. We had a great time and able to run the dog on land adjacent to the cottage, so the need to always have to be travelling out was not an issue. This made our holiday more comfortable and so relaxing, helped with a few warn suuny days. Thank you to our hosts.

White Cottage is a good size for a couple and is larger than it looks in the pictures.
The lounge area has two comfortable sofas and the kitchen is well equipped with good appliances. We cooked all our own meals apart from one, which was fish-and-chips from nearby Clee Hill (highly recommended), but there were several places to eat in the area. The bedroom is spacious with comfortable beds, good storage space and a modern ensuite bathroom. The garden is beautiful with squirrels and a wide variety of birds and affording lovely views across the countryside. We found the location ideal for exploring local towns and historic places, and nearby Wyre Forest has lots of waymarked walks. The owners, Beverley and Desmond, whose house is next door to the cottage, were very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. All-in-all a very enjoyable stay!
