Whitby is a charming seaside town on the River Esk in Yorkshire. Whitby is a great destination if you want a traditional British seaside holiday in a lovely setting. You can watch the boats come and go from the harbour, or relax on the huge sandy beach, which has summer donkey rides, beach huts, and plenty of room for sandy adventures with the kids. You'll also find plenty of options for fresh fish and chips or locally-made ice cream. Plus, Whitby sits on the edge of the North York Moors, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks through this beautiful national park.

Here at Snaptrip, we have plenty of lodges and log cabins in Whitby for you to choose from. Whether you want something near the beachfront or something more secluded on the moors, you can find it with us. We even have dog-friendly properties so you can bring your furry friend for long walks, such as the trail around the Falling Foss Waterfall.

    • Mrs Ceri Thomas - Verified booking

Property located behind fishmongers very smelly no outside space for dogs. Very busy alley with noisy revellers.Dark inside very little natural light, rug in lounge had not been hoovered full of white dog hairs furnishings stained and very uncomfortable. Frying pans need to be changed as Teflon coating covered in scratches therefore highly toxic, no toaster had to use oven toaster which took ages to warm. Toilet not fixed to floor right side. Very dusty window shutters in bedroom

A cosy cottage well positioned. We visited out of season so it was relatively quiet and peaceful but can imagine it could be a little noisy around the cottage in the evening in busier times. It was smaller than we thought but was fine for two people. I could imagine it would be a squeeze for 4 people. Also, being on 4 levels the stairs could be a challenge for some people. As a relatively fit couple this wasn't a big issue for us. Overall a lovely break.

Overall property was good and very clean and well equipped. My only criticism was the way front door opened....you had to step into the bathroom or up first stair in order to get round the door to close or open it which was not easy with a dog. Each of us had to either stand in bathroom doorway or on stair to follow previous person out. Maybe owner could look at having door changed to open from other side so access was directly into kitchen.

Clean , comfortable and interesting property. 2 Adults and 2 children , great location and parking permit was really appreciated. I would only suggest anybody with mobility negotiation to understand layout of property, being on 4 floors and bathroom on bottom floor. A lovely property and caring owners. Happy to stay at this property again.

Brilliant location, surprisingly quiet at nights. full of history and beautiful pictures and antiques. Ideal for adults or families with older children. really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of exercise with all the flights of stairs! It was fantastic to get the chance to stay in such an old building with all the history attached.
