Have a Welsh adventure with Tenby holiday cottages

Miles of sandy beaches, historic landmarks, museums and picture-perfect buildings make Tenby a great place to visit for a long weekend or staycation in the UK.

Located in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, Tenby perfectly captures the very best of the Welsh coastline and offers so much to see and do. What better way to enjoy this picturesque part of the country than by staying in one of our beautiful Tenby holiday cottages?

Tenby holiday rentals are ideal if you're looking for something close to the beach and want all the convenience and comfort of your very own little hideaway. At Snaptrip, we have dozens of beautiful cottages to choose from, all waiting to welcome you home.

Why choose Tenby for your next holiday?

This idyllic Welsh town has been drawing in holidaymakers for over 200 years. The seafront is lined with pretty pastel-coloured houses, golden sand, boats lining the harbour, and water so blue you'd swear you were somewhere in the tropics!

The friendly and laidback vibe of the town makes it the perfect destination for a memorable family trip or a romantic getaway.

The town is lovely to walk around and boasts a long history. It has the oldest independent museum in Wales, castle ruins, Victorian townhouses, and a 500-year-old Tudor House. There are also lots of pretty shops and ice cream parlours that appear as if untouched by time.

There are three excellent sandy beaches, covering around 2.5 miles of coastline that are family-friendly and surprisingly uncrowded. These are some of the best beaches in the UK, such as the tropical-looking Barafundle Bay and the stunning Broad Haven South Beach. Tenby Beach was named Beach of the Year by The Sunday Times in 2019 and is simply breathtaking with a spectacular view of St. Catherine's Island.

The beaches are also Blue Flag certified, so you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the water before relaxing on the soft sand. Unlike many other seaside resorts, Tenby is relatively quiet so you'll have no trouble finding a spot to build a sandcastle.

While you might not want to drag yourself away from the picturesque views, when your tummies start rumbling, treat yourselves to some of Tenby's famous fish and chips. The town has a long history in the fishing industry and boasts countless places serving up some of the tastiest fish and catches of the day you will ever try.

As well as its long history as a seaside holiday destination, Tenby also has a considerable fishing heritage. Mackerel fishermen still set out from the harbour daily and you can even join them by booking a trip with one of the fishing boat operators, and catch your own dinner! Boat excursions head out to nearby Caldey Island, a beautiful holy island run by Cistercian monks, where you'll find a tranquil strip of sand that's even more peaceful than the mainland.

Tenby is surrounded by Pembrokeshire National Park, which has 300km of stunning nature reserves to explore. If you're travelling with little ones, you won't be short of things to do. There are several top family-friendly attractions in the area, including Folly Farm, Manor House Wildlife Park, Heatherton World of Adventure, and Oakwood Theme Park.

With so much to see and do, you'll only wish you booked your Tenby accommodation for longer.

Tenby holiday rentals to suit everyone and every budget

Tenby holiday cottages offer self-catering accommodation that are the perfect choice for families or couples who prefer to holiday on their own terms.

They are a great alternative to cookie-cutter hotels as they offer more flexibility and allow you to truly feel at home. Most of our Tenby accommodations are bursting with character, and many are historic buildings such as rustic converted farmhouses, spacious old barns, and charming fishermen's cottages.

You'll even find lots of pet-friendly holiday cottages in Tenby, making them a great option if you want to bring your furry friend along.

    Why book with Snaptrip?

If you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and the stresses of the city, the quaint seaside town of Tenby has so much to offer.

Book one of our Tenby holiday cottages and your accommodation becomes a magical part of your holiday, bursting with character and steeped in comfort and quality.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Scerina - Verified booking

Many, many negative issues with this property: 1.

Dirty, mouldy shower. 2. Stains on bedding. 3. Spiders in bed, total of 27 spiders in property over a week, some very large indeed. 4. Previous occupants smelling, rotting, mouldy food waste left in the kitchen. 5. Tepid shower. 6. Faecal matter caked and left in rim of toilet, very unhygienic and a health hazard. 7. Dirty skylights with no blinds. 8. Holes in curtains. 9. No toilet roll holder. 10. No wardrobe in room with two beds. 11. Exposed wiring in back of wardrobe in double room. 12. Multitude of cobwebs in every room corner. 13. Squashed bugs left to dry on walls and door frames. 14. Questionable stains like dried snot on wall next to bed. 15. Dog urine in door runner. 16. Leaking drainpipe right in front of main entrance which kept you awake when it was raining and causing cracked flooring which was hidden under doormat. 17. Smelly, dirty kitchen floor, had not been mopped or bleached. 18. Microwave in cupboard so you had to physically lift it out and place it somewhere to use it. 19. Dead flies and cobwebs over cookbooks next to cooker. 20. No terrestrial TV, just a box ominously balancing on top of TV. 21. Washing drawer full of mouldy washing remnants. 22. You have to pay £20 on top of your booking price to use the hot tub more than once. 23. Iron plate caked with dirt so unable to use. 24. Owners dog urinated on recycling and my vehicle every morning which was very unpleasant smelling. 25. Stains on cushions and settee. 26. Seals on bi-fold doors hanging off and crevices very dirty indeed, full of cobwebs, dirt & dead spiders. 27. Numerous beetles all over property floor. 28. Broken mirrored bin in bathroom, daughter nearly cut toe on it which could've caused a nasty injury. 29. Burn marks on dressing table (may be from hot iron which may the reason for issue number 23.). 30. No small bin liners in bins in bedroom and bathroom, very unhygienic, but I did bring my own black bags. This property certainly wasn't worth £2000 for a week. Complained to Sykes with supporting photos and videos which I shall publish online on every platform if no partial refund is given as requested, as property owner said his wife checked the property before we arrived and we couldn't check in earlier as the cleaner wouldn't be finished. One wonders exactly what the cleaner did do?? I didn't report the issues to the owner as it would've tainted my stay as I had booked the stay through Sykes and I believe they have a duty of care to the client to who books such expensive properties only to be harshly disappointed when they get there. I spent most of my holiday cleaning the property myself having bought numerous cleaning products in which to do so. Even my dog was immaculate and didn't leave a mess anywhere. We even cordoned off the verdant grass ourselves in order to keep it in a lovely condition. The property was left in a cleaner state than when we arrived. The owner even stated we were very clean and quiet and could stay again which makes this situation quite bittersweet. So very disappointed. This was the first holiday after losing my whole family in a short space of time. I was hoping for a clean, peaceful and relaxing stay but left very upset indeed which in turn exacerbated my depression instead of alleviating it.

Wide angle net pic pics very deceptive.

This is a small one bed ground floor flat with another upstairs. There's shared lawn, lovely fruiting crabapple tree, outside tables and chairs , air dryer, 2 parking spaces, all facing other houses on the "village" estate .Also ample "community" grounds nearby and facitlities that we didn't use (wet November). Flat floors are pleasing "wood", leather comfy furniture and wood cupboards etc., folksy rugs, excellent TV, snuggly bed, pretty linen, easy tiny shower with gorgeous tiles. First rate kitchen. Heating bit problematic: All rads locked at 15degrees, but extra coal effect fire in sitting room fairly powerful. Thanks for diffusing sticks throughout - wood sage and sea salt, lovely. St. Frances is a really charming village with 2 good pubs/restaurants,.surrounded by countryside, with superb 13th century church and pretty cottages.Countless glorious beaches all along coast and coastal path nearby. Only negative thing was 14 days rain, so thank goodness for the 1000 piece jigsaw (almost finished) and little library!. .

Absolutely spotless accommodation, had everything we needed for a perfect stay.

The patio and surrounding area was fab as it was fully enclosed and we enjoyed a cup of coffee in the mornings and a glass of wine early evenings, enjoying the beautiful Pembrokeshire weather ❤️. We could not fault The Annex, tastefully decorated, gorgeous shower and we slept well in the most comfortable bed. Sheena and Mark are exceptional hosts. Sheena was extremely responsive to any questions I had and even went above and beyond to decorate the accommodation with banners and balloons for my husband's birthday and also organised a beautiful birthday cake! Saundersfoot is extremely close by, and Tenby about 5 mins away. Thank you for a wonderful stay, and for making my husband's birthday so special. We will definitely be back, thank you Jo, Ian and Freddie x

I have give full points for property . However there was major building work both at side and front of property. The noise level was extremely high from 7 in the morning to 7 at night . You couldn’t use garden in those hours as workmen were overlooking garden . I was not informed of this until the day before holiday . Given that you were aware of this disruption along time before it would have been decent of you to make me aware and given the opportunity to cancel or at the very least offer a reduced rental . I did complain to booking company and was given £70 as a gesture. I accepted unaware of the level of noise and disruption to our holiday all week .

We were looking forward to returning to the coach house as we have been several times before and loved the cosy and comfortable surroundings .

But we are extremely disappointed, the main problems being the TV and cooker hob . The hob was very temperamental and worked only occasionally and the fact that there was a hotplate to use it was obvious that they knew about the problem . As for the TV not everyone wants catch-up and netflix, we could not get live TV . The kind gentleman upstairs came to help as his TV was the same as ours but he couldn't get live TV . We were told a maintenance man would come out but no-one came . All in all the first 2 days of our holiday were far from relaxing. We will be booking with Sykes again but it definitely won't be for the coach house.
