    Haverfordwest Holiday Cottages

Haverfordwest is an ancient town, with all of the modern amenities and facilities you could want for a short break in a beautiful countryside setting. The West Cleddau river runs through the middle of town, with the castle towering above it. With a museum located within its walls, it's well worth a stop to explore its exhibits about the castle (dating to the 12th century!) and the surrounding area.

Haverfordwest was once the second largest port in Wales. Its beautiful riverside setting is perfect for an outdoor drink or a meal while watching the sunset. Attractive for day visitors as the main shopping hub in the area, it’s well connected and a perfect base for exploring the Welsh countryside. Why not book a romantic stone cottage for two, or opt for one of our dog-friendly accommodations if you want to explore with your furry friend.

We have thousands of properties listed throughout the UK, all covered by our best price guarantee. You'll find guest houses, cottages and stately homes all available to rent through Snaptrip. Can't decide? Our friendly customer service team are available to help.

What our customers say about their holidays

I am not sure how much of our lovely stay in Pembrokshire was thanks to Ramsey Cottage sadly.

To start the address for the cottage is incorrect on the website. The check in and check out times differ on each area of the website page also. Upon arrival, ample parking and the property is set in an undeniably beautiful location. But our first observation of Ramsay Cottage was how long the grass was in the garden. We ended up asking one of the neighbours who lived on site to mow it for us when he was doing his own lawn. To add to that we believe there is Giant Hogweed growing in the courtyard which is in fact poisonous! A matter of hours after we arrived the WiFi went down and never came back on again in the four days we were there. So we are in the middle of nowhere with no signal or WiFi... We contacted the owner on multiple occasions but it never got sorted. We gave up in the end. There was no 'welcome pack' on arrival which is a given in every other cottage we have stayed in. Only one tea towel and no cleaning products or black bags. How are we meant to leave the property as we found it if there are no cleaning materials to do so? Also, a little odd to be asked to strip the beds, but hey ho! Having read all the previous reviews, I'd hoped they might have been acted upon but sadly not. Our stay in Pembrokshire was wonderful, and Ramsey Cottage could be absolutely stunning. It is a gorgeous little cottage, very clean and well presented but improvements overall needed.

This is a beautifully situated and furnished cottage.

With high end, modern furnishings. It is in walking distance to the shops, restaurants and white, sandy beach. Although there is resident, permit only parking outside the cottage, there is a charity run car park across the road. The owners have left a very effective users manual for all the electrical appliances in the cottage, including the heating and water. We did find this very helpful. However, we would say if you have any mobility issues this may not be the best choice of cottages for you as there are three small flights of stairs and the bathroom step is rather steep. We also found very steep steps out the back to a high garden, which was lovely and the scenery was beautiful, but not easily accessible especially if you have a dog. Broad haven is a beautiful, coastal retreat with stunning surrounding countryside. Definitely a place we would like to visit again. We do think that if this cottage made one or two alterations it would be one of the best to stay in.

      This is a lovely cottage.

Yes, it is very old, but it has been sympathetically restored, and the peacefulness of the setting is unbelievable. We loved our 'secret garden' and the privacy it gave us. We are big walkers, and the close proximity of the coastal path was very useful. Whitesands beach is one of the best beaches we have been to, and a comfortable ten minute drive away. The cottage was clean and all the necessities for a comfortable stay were there. I particularly liked having the separate utility room to do the laundry in. The large downstairs bathroom was excellent, though a second bathroom upstairs would have made it perfect. The beds were very comfortable. The owner (Mrs Rees) was very nice, and helped us out immediately when there was a small problem with the boiler. Added to that, we had pretty good weather allowing us to get on the beach, in the sea, and onto the cliff walks. A fantastic holiday, and we will come back again.

A very pleasant bungalow in a very quiet setting surrounded by trees, hedges and fields.

The accommodation was clean and well appointed with lots of kitchen utensils. The bed was very comfortable and had a nice view through the window. The property was made by the hot tub which we used every day even when it was raining. We didn't get to walk locally as the weather wasn't brilliant so we didn't get to see the lakes. The road would not be safe to walk. There is a pub about 3 miles away called the pump on the green. Went there twice during the week after we found it by accident. Would highly recommend a visit, very nice food and friendly staff. My wife being coeliac was impressed by the choice of gluten free options on the menu. Overall we were looking for a quiet break and that was what we got. The owner is very pleasant and was available if needed. If you like horses there are stables close by.

We had a brilliant week-the location and the quality of the property were just perfect.

Parking was easy .The owners have thought of absolutely everything to make the house a perfect holiday home and it was spotless on arrival. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen so well equipt. The welcome guide explains how everything works really clearly. The garden is lovely too ,great to watch the world go by from the benches in the front and a real late afternoon suntrap at the back in the most comfortable garden chairs! The house is literally 2 minutes stroll from the beautiful beach and on a rainy afternoon quick to get back to! We have stayed in a lot of self catering houses over the years but this is my favourite by far-we hope to be back next year!
