What our customers say about their holidays

    • Tony And Jan - Verified booking

Grassholm View, Solva, Pembrokeshire is surely a jewel in the crown of West Wales.

Arriving on the LLanunwas estate where Grassholm View is located you find adequate parking and sweeping gardens amongst the handful of building around the estate. The main building housing Grassholm View is secure with electronic locks controlling access. Grassholm is on the first floor. The treat begins as soon as you open the main door to the apartment. The decor is clean and bright, pictures and prints adorn the walls, the large clock in the living room is another nice feature. Book cases contain many a good read and information folders will let you know everything the apartment holds such as how do I get the best from the TV and sound system; how do I operate the double oven to cook dinner. I must say the kitchen/dining area is my favourite place as the large space and all the mod cons are outstanding. You can cook for a banquet and enjoy the experience. The apartment is a joy, plenty of space to relax, the views are memorable looking out towards the sea and coastal path. The heating system gives that cosy feeling in all areas of the apartment. Dishwasher and a washing machine are fitted but we never used but they are there for you to use. The bedroom is well equipped with clothing storage space and a very comfortable bed. Watching TV in bed makes us smile. The bathroom does what it says on the tin, very functional. Lighting throughout the apartment is second to none. The fixtures and fittings are clean, the furniture well maintained and comfortable. Yes, comfortable is an understatement. Grassholm View gives you the opportunity to stay and relax or pursue your will to explore whether on foot or by car the surrounding area is exceptional. Grassholm View is a real gem, one to savour and enjoy.

We were a party of 2 adults and 4 children so the layout of the property was perfect for us.

(The boys thought it was very funny to sleep in a pink bedroom) It was very well equipped for cooking and preparing picnics, and the children loved the freedom of going to the well stocked Londis shop next to the property and shopping on their own and going to buy their own ice creams at the Ocean. The decor of the property was very tastefully furnished with lots of nice touches which made it seem so much more than a holiday rental. The owners rang to check that everything was ok for us and that we had no issues. Everything was perfect and luckily so was the weather. we would highly recommend. Places to visit …Clerkenhill adventure farm, reasonably priced and lots to do. Little Haven ……St Brides for a meal, family run pub. Dale. The Griffin board games for kids.

The property was smaller than we expected from the listing for 6 of us with small living space and no outside area for children to play immediately outside the property.

I think this needs to be a bit clearer in the listing. However, we had a fantastic holiday and it had absolutely everything you needed in the kitchen and in the property itself. The sunsets were beautiful from the main window and to hear the waves from there was really special. We were able to swim several times a day as the beach was so close which was amazing. We all loved all of the little extra touches with the soaps left in the bathrooms, hair things in little display bags in the main rooms and the lovely welcome hamper with welcome card. The apartment was spotless and we couldn’t fault it, we had a wonderful time and would love to stay again. Many thanks Laura and Jonathan Wilson

The location is superb and just 2 minutes' walk to the beach, Londis and cafe/pub.

Excellent car park. All basic amenities were present. Comfortable beds. The water supply to the top floor bathroom (both shower and sink) was extremely poor. The pressure was so low that at times the water supply would almost stop in the upstairs sink. As a result, we all had to use the downstairs ensuite which had normal water pressure. The living room, kitchen, upstairs bedrooms are quite small but adequate for a small family. Apart from the water supply issue, we loved the place. The owner was very friendly and responded to our call at the start of the trip. We did not bother her with the water issue as we were not keen for plumbers to interrupt the holidays. Broad Haven is a hidden gem.

Had a lovely 5 day break.

The cottage apartment was delightful, very well equipped and nicely decorated, also with lovely sea views from lounge and patio area. Great to have the Londis store next door to us, as well as the beach on our doorstep. Broad Haven is lovely large beach too. We did a nice walk to Little Haven when the tide was out. We were blessed with fantastic weather every day so were able to do some wonderful cliff walks and the scenery was stunning. Visited, Norton Haven and Newgale beaches which were lovely as well as St. David's Cathedral. Dale was nice as well as St. Brides beach. Love the Pembrokeshire coastline.
