What our customers say about their holidays

    • Michael - Verified booking

      Great apartment,extremely clean and comfortable.

Very comfortable bed with lovely cotton bedding. Love the nautical theme throughout especially the toilet seat !! The apartment has great sea views and after a walk through the football field opposite, find yourselves on the coastal path. Amazing walk to St Davids, lovely place to explore. Lower Solva and harbour is a very quaint place,5 minute walk away with three pubs to choose from. The Cambrian being our favourite, make sure you book. Also recommend The Victoria Inn Brewhouse at Roch, good homebrewed beer, also book first. The woollen mill (not a pub) is a nice place to visit to see the weavers at work and spend money on goodies in the shop. Loved the post office/shop/crab shed, next door to apartment that sold everything but the kitchen sink, bought lots of local asparagus and delicious new potatoes, also sells great fresh bread. We would not hesitate to come back here as beautiful scenery and brilliant weather and very comfortable place to stay. Sylvia and Jim were great hosts and easy to contact if you have any queries.

Everything was excellent about this property.

It was clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay, and we would not hesitate to recommend Kittiwake. However, I do have a couple of comments. First, the description mentions a sea view. This is true, but it's a very distant and restricted sea view, so I would suggest you don't take it into account when deciding whether or not to book the property. My second comment is that the property sleeps four, but I think with four adults it would be a little cramped. For my wife and me, it was perfect, and I think it would be absolutely fine for two adults and two children. Four adults would however, have to be sure that they didn't mind sharing all the facilities - bathroom, toilet, kitchen and living/dining room. Please note that these are comments not criticisms! Kittiwake is a great property in a superb area. If you go there I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

      Great property, Sykescottages.

Co.uk usual quality accommodation. Had a very comfortable week in a spotlessly clean apartment with a lovely nautical theme. Great welcome pack of milk, waffles and welsh cakes.Very convenient location almost next door to Solva shop. The walk down to the Pubs in Lower Solva is challenging and some landlords seem to keep their own opening hours so we advise to check if they are open before undertaking the journey. Most beaches are reached by single track roads so large vehicles might find it difficult, there are some fab coastal walks in the area. We would highly recommend Kittiwake the only critisim would be the plastic backed mattress protector on the bed, would advise owners to change this for the comfort of the guests but overall had a great stay.

We had a fantastic week in this lovely modern, clean and comfortable flat.

the location is great as it is on the coast road so is easy to get out and about. You can drive to St Davids in just a few minutes. We walked down into lower Solva several times, both during the day to walk on the coastal path, and at night to go for a meal at the Cambrian Inn which does lovely food, but you do need to book. We also used the excellent facilities in the kitchen to cook as everything required has been provided by the thoughtful owners.Good quality towels and bedding and furnishings added to the overall comfort. We enjoyed it so much we have already re-booked.

Beautiful accommodation, very well presented and super clean.

I have been holidaying in St.Davids for many years and only really been to Solva for launching kayaks but there is so much to do. At low tide we walked to the beach the other side of harbour and snorkelled in the bay, you may have to walk over the head land if the tide comes in too much but it’s not a long or hard walk. At high tide we kayaked in the harbour and done some crabbing. There is also a park a short walk from the accommodation if you have children with you.
