What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mrs Hollingshead - Verified booking

We have been to this apartment several times. Normally spotless I'm sure the owners will address our issues when they read their personal review. The main issue was the machine noise all through the night from another apartment. We have suggested a couple of improvements to the owners, microwave positioning is dangerous especially when removing hot food, the very low height of the toilet. The parking space at the back of the property is a nightmare especially if its pouring down with rain as you have to walk back round to the front of the building with your suitcase, the ground floor apartments have parking spaces at the front of the building, they also have entrance doors at the rear of the apartments, to us this doesn't make sense really, as this apartment is on the first floor with the only access at the front but parking at the back. Will it stop us returning doubtful, but there are several apartments now in the area that have been refurbished to a high standard & slightly more affordable. All with the same view. Likewise there's also some less desirable apartments so make sure you read the reviews, not just the most recent ones.

Cannot fault the owner for providing so much when we arrived.

Very surprised to find many things we had carried with us were already provided. Including things such as cheese grater, can opener, pegs, toilet roll, liquid soap and condiments. Plenty of crockery and ample storage space. Instructions for use of equipment and recycling regime, well explained in hand folder, also containing maps of area with visitor information. Parking across the way in rail station carpark but please be aware make sure you have permit and ticket now costing £19 per week. I am a blue badge holder which was displayed, approval of parking permit confirmed and believed I had done everything required only to discover a parking ticket and now left to resolve this issue with company who own car park, not British Rail.

      Absolutely fantastic.

Liz and Dai are perfect hosts. Helpful and kind without being intrusive. The annex is top notch, like a show home, with all the amenities you would expect. A super comfortable double bed and lashings of hot water. It is located in a nice quiet village, but just a short car ride from pembroke Town, including the castle. I went on a boat ride to Skomer Island, which is a nature reserve for birds, including puffins and skewers, fabulous. There are numerous beautiful walks, and beach destinations in the area, and the cottage has ample information books, maps and leaflets to help you plan your activities. Liz and Dai are always on hand in case you get stuck or need any advice. Loved it.

Lovely cottage in small quiet village just outside Pembroke.

Owners live next door and are very helpful and freindly, quickly sorted out a small issue with hot water, even lent us some flour and a mixer when wife decided to make yorkshire puds. Pembroke castle very good with excellent cafe, st clements cake best ever had, Carew castle 15 min drive good, Castle Henllys iron age fort 1 hr drive small but interesting. Barafundle beach 15 min drive, small and an uphill walk to get to then down steps, beach small. Freshwater west beach 15 min drive, much longer than Barafundle, good ffor walking dogs, a must see for Harry Potter fans to see Dobbys grave. Really enjoyed our stay Sepr 2024.

Cranford Cottage is an ideal base for exploring Pembrokeshire, in a peaceful rural location.

The cottage is really well equipped with everything you would need and the attention to detail is exceptional. I loved the layout and parking was a few steps away from the front door so easy to load and unload luggage. Great modern bathroom and kitchen. The artwork on the walls was inspirational for planning days out and there were plenty of books on the local landscape, walks and attractions to feed your explorer gene! I met Liz briefly but knowing she was next door should anything go wrong, was reassuring (it didn’t!). I highly recommend Cranford, it was a perfect retreat after a long coastal walk!
