What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mr F - Verified booking

An absolutely fabulous stay at the Plush huts in Kent! We arrived to a very generous welcome pack. All basics are also supplied and kitchen is well equipped. We stayed in the 2 bedroom 'Warren', which sits in its own (low level) fenced and gated area. Spacious bedrooms at either end, with plenty of storage and a lovely en suite shower room in each. Living/dining/kitchen area sits in between the bedrooms, and opens out onto a private deck (complete with deck chairs!) overlooking the adjacent fields. Communal outside area is an amazing facility which the whole family enjoyed. I loved the wild life cameras showing nesting kestrels. The setting is beautiful and so peaceful. Our hosts were extremely helpful . A lovely pub within walking distance where food and service is good. Some of the family enjoyed watersports nearby. Much fun had by all. I genuinely didn't want to go home. Would definitely like to book this holiday again!!

We absolutely loved the peaceful countryside stay at Andrews cottage, it was such an amazing experience and I would definitely love to visit again. Andrew our host was so thoughtful and caring, he made sure we were in good hands, he checked on us during the storm and made sure we had everything we needed. On one occasion we needed some flour and Andrew was very generous and brought some over to us. We also cooked everyday. I was really impressed with the kitchen as it was fully equipped with all types of utensils to dishwasher tablets. We were even more impressed to find a cupboards stocked with all types of spices, salt, pepper and oil. We also arrived and found fresh eggs, Bread, milk and honey. We loved the taste of fresh honey so we also bought some from Andrew and took it away. Thank you so much for providing a peaceful, tranquil place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Arrived for a fantastic 3 day break at the Warren on 1st April. From the outside the accommodation appears pretty and sympathetic with its surroundings, whilst on the inside is fully equipped, luxurious and spacious. Our welcome pack included delicious fresh bread, eggs and honey from the farm. Shortly after arrival we took advantage of the clear skies to star-gaze in the hot-tub, a really memorable experience. During our stay we took the 30 minute walk to the beautiful Sissinghurst Castle Gardens which is a highly recommended visit. This was probably our biggest exertion however and the majority of the weekend we spent relaxing in the accommodation, gardens and hot-tub. Heather and Andrew were fantastic hosts and made us feel truly welcome. We genuinely couldn’t rate our holiday any higher and cannot wait to return…especially when the Boathouse opens!

We absolutely loved our stay in the Warren. It was cosy, spacious, nicely decorated and had a homely feel to it. The owners were very helpful and checked in to ensure we were comfortable or needed anymore information. We loved all the little touches provided and everything was thought of to make us feel welcome, for example the kitchen cupboards being stocked up and milk/ bread/ eggs/ snacks gifted to us. The bed was super comfortable and having a smart TV with log ins provided was very kind. We enjoyed going in the spacious hot tub each night, it was peaceful and very relaxing. We wish the weather was nicer during our stay so that we could have used more of the outside facilities! We would 100% recommend this stay to others, thank you once again!

This Lodge is in a lovely, very rural location but it has good access to all main routes covering Canterbury, the N & NE Kent coast.

We found it to be a very comfortable & well equipped with good quality bedding & towels and plenty of hot water. Fans were provided for when it was hot but as it got colder it was easy to heat so felt very cosy. The only thing to note is that the bedrooms are very small, they had plenty of wardrobe space but floor space was very limited, especially around the bed in the second room. There is a nice outside space with seating provided which unfortunately due to the weather we were unable to make use of. There was good safe parking but not right outside the property. The whole development looked neat and well cared for and we had a good weeks holiday.

    Leeds Castle
Set within 500 acres of stunning parkland, Leeds Castle is famously one of Kent’s most beautiful country estates and offers a wide range of attractions including hot air balloon trips, arts and crafts shops, a maze, an Aviary, a golf course, fine cafes and restaurants and acres of beautiful grounds and gardens.
    Dover Castle
A medieval castle founded in the 11th century making it England's longest serving fortress. It is located on the iconic white cliffs and houses 80 acres of grounds for you and your canine friend to explore.

    Tonbridge Castle

Tonbridge Castle is reputedly England’s finest example of a Motte and Bailey Castle. Boasting a splendid 13th Century Gatehouse, it is also surrounded by acres of beautiful grounds. An audio tour brings to life the rich history. Today the castle hosts open-air cinema and theatre nights during the summer.

    Upnor Castle

This attractive turreted castle is set in the picturesque village of Upnor within an area backed by rolling, wooded hills. The fort was intended to protect both the dockyard and ships of the Royal Navy anchored in the Chatham Dockyard which is a short distance downriver. It entirely failed at this task in 1667, when the Dutch sailed past it to burn or capture the English fleet at anchor.

    Rochester Castle

Strategically placed astride the London Road, guarding an important crossing of the River Medway, this imposing fortress has a complex history of destruction and rebuilding. Today it stands as a proud reminder of the history of Rochester along with the cathedral and cobbled streets.

    Stoneacre (National Trust)

Stoneacre is a Grade II* listed National Trust property in Otham, near Maidstone. It is a half-timbered yeoman farmer's house and garden dating from the 15th century, together with a small garden, orchard and meadows. Arts and Crafts scholar Aymer Vallance saved this mediaeval yeoman's house from destruction in 1920, and restored it into the charming house that it is today. Toilets and picnic benches.

    Hever Castle & Gardens

Hever Castle began as a country house built in the 13th century and was home to the Boleyn family from 1462 - 1539 including Anne Boleyn, the second queen consort of King Henry VIII. The castle fell into disrepair in the early 1900s. Much of what you see is the result of the efforts of William Waldorf Astor, who used his fortune to restore and extend the Castle in the early 20th century.
