While Craig Tara is most easily accessible by car, you can also reach the nearby town of Ayr by train or National Express. If youâre driving from the north, then follow the A77 towards Stranraer and, once youâve passed the Bankfield roundabout south of Ayr, take the second right. From here, follow signs for the A719 which will lead you straight to Craig Tara. If youâre coming from the south, then you should exit the M74 at junction 12 and follow the A70 towards Cumnock. From here, carry on south towards Stranraer and upon reaching the Bankfield roundabout follow the same directions as the north.
Thereâs so much to do at Craig Tara, the only thing youâll be stuck on is knowing where to start. The park boasts a range of fantastic facilities, many of them brand new for 2019. For the little ones, you have the Lighthouse Harbour Adventure Village, Toddlersâ Play village, Aerial Adventure and Mini Aerial Adventure, Splashaway Bay and Nature Rockz adventures.
